ok people. I believe that jp3 will be based largely on the book the Lost world because that was a great book with great ideas and none were explored in the lost world movie. I loved the lost world movie but the book is totally different. i think that speilberg should have enough sense to make jp3 like the second book as they did with the original. Thats why it was a success. I reckon kick out David Koepp. I hope he has nothing to do =with it.
They are building the big facility like explained in the lost world book. READ THE BOOK you'll notice alot of similarities.!!!! Trust me!

GoldblumRules s, remember, JP3 is an independant film, not absed off the other two, so a TLW prequelc na exista nd nto set anything up for TLW. And Maybe Maclolm gets amnesia and forgets thigns between JP3 and TLW. OK, no, but the could do that. This is not a trilogy movie series.

    Sucho1:

In The Lost World, when Roland (the hunter) says "I've seen it" about the worker village, he's stating that he already scouted out the area before he came back to the camp. Notice how it took them so long between Dieter's death and when he got back to camp? They found the remains of Dieter, then Roland decided to have a look ahead before returning to camp. He hasn't been to Site B before or seen any dinosaurs; in the cut scene with Ajay at Mombasa (being reinstated for the DVD) this is pretty clear. And when he saw the Rex footprint he couldn't even recognize it; he had to ask Burke to identify it. The whole prequel-to-The Lost World idea has so many plotholes from just looking at the PREMISE of it; they'd be insane to try and make one and it'd be incredibly hard for it to make sense and fit into the continuity of things. Remember, we didn't know the basic plot of TLW until a couple months before it opened.

yeah, I think the article is a joke, (or the informant didn't have a brain in his head).
Utahraptor I agree with you, but I don't think the dino attacks will occur in San Jose, since its not on the coast., The dinosaurs will likely stay in the coastal jungles and attack humans randomly so that no evidence would've been found. Costa Rica may have a good healthcare system, but the rural areas aren't known for their advanced forensic practices. So, yes, I think dinos on the mainland will play a part in JP3, but the issue won't be resolved, so there will be some sort of mystery left at the end of the movie.
As for the rest of the plot, its not the most important part of the movie. Its the directing, acting, camera angles, sets, etc, that make movies like these. Of course an involving plot would be nice, but I'm just tired of hearing some complain about how the plot is going to be stupid and the movie will suck. We still have a whole year to be dragged around by false rumors. Don't forget, Universal isn't stupid.

Speilberg added the Sna Diego scen to amke sure he'd be bale to do that kind aplot justice. Any other dino atatcks would eb les sthan goo compared to his. I think it's a good diea to do this, even though this could eb fake. LAstly, if people ehre refuse to believe that anyone there cna watch Seinfeld, why would you believe them if they said cloned dinosaurs attacked their viallage/city, whatever? Seems to me, you wouldn't. Plus, if you think thes epeopel wouldn't be able to watch Seinfeld, you could easily believe them being bribe dnot to speak, for a new hospitla ro such. Sicne we know they're more advanced than that, it wouldn't work. Thugh I think Sna Diego proved dinos existed because they coudl ahev the press view the T-rex isndie the boat. Plus too manypeople couldhave cmaeras. Sure, people inS NA Jose could, but I think it's supposed to eb a small city, and they can easily control the footage, if not kill the dinos. Not to emntion, no oen believed Malcolm, why believe anybody who says dinos attacked their hiomes without a dino for proof? And yes, peole in other coutnires do get to watch Seinfeld. It's probably airing now, so the guy forgot Nedry's name.

This all sounds like bull. If nobody's been cast... and besides, Spielberg might not be Directing, but he sure as hell wouldn't bring the idea of Dinosaurs on the mainland up for another movie. That idea gave TLW very bad comments. Not only that, but the whole Nedry being called Newman is also a giveaway. Besides people would know about Dinosaurs if they got to the mainland before TLW. And the big facility is being built for scenes based at Site C. THIS IS FALSE!

At 11:07:14 PM on 6/26/2000, GoldblumRules said:
I'll give us all three good reasons to believe this scoop is fake:
    1) Wayne Knight is refered to as Newman instead of his real name, or at least 'Nedry'.
    2) It states that principal photography has begun, but this is certainly news to up-to-the-specific-date Hollywood Reporter production updates, which do not mention this as happening- and the Hollywood Reporter is as reliable as Hollywood sources come.
    3) The San Jose scene ("the capitol" of Costa Rica) in JP1 was not shot in San Jose at all; in fact, the scene was filmed on the Hawaiian island of Maui.

True, not everyone will know these things, but anyone tight with the production certainly should. And that's usually not in the form a freelance photographer/ "advisor" from Costa Rica.... a job which typically does not exist in Hollywood; they have DPs and production designers for that. Last but not least, a person in this crew position would not know the storyline, given how tightly guarded such details are by Amblin. He'd know the locations he'd need to look for and that is all.

BenderOfSpoons is right, like Costa Ricans watch Sienfeld that often. The plot needs more science and less people chomping, thats why the first movie was such a hit and the second one was so much like those other monster movies.
