    sooo, who enjoyed JP Saturday?

clearly JP4 will be a martial arts extravaganza...I can see it now, Billy kicks a compy into the wall, smashing it and stunning the surrounding dinos. Then the camera zooms in fast as he's doing that I'm-an-intense-dude-in-an-action-movie post and he says in a low and scary voice, "I know Kung Fu."
You see, Grant was his wise teacher!

how can you know? we didn't see Grant in the movie but that doesn't mean he saw raptor bones during and proceeded into destroying them by kicking them!

He kicked a "raptor" in the head.

Though I can say with some degree of certainty that he never kicks anything in TLW.

The E! Making of was great. I couldn't tape it though. I can't believe I missed the ET clip!! Oh well. The video clip was great though. Funny how Sam Neill kicked the Pteradon!!! He DOES have Kung Fu Fever!!! Awesome flying reptiles though.

At 12:54:55 PM on 7/14/2001, Trillian said:
I'm just really gonna give the details on the actual movie clips. If you want a transcript of the ET people or the sfx guys they talk to, I can do that later, though.

    Summary of clip:
Ptera is trapped behind this cage/fence trying to get at Grant and Billy(?) who are swimming in the water right in front of it. Next is Eric screaming and starting to run, Amanda looks towards him as she's talking to Grant. Cuts to a big ptera closing in slowly on the group, walking on its wings in the enclosed bridge. Grant kicks it in the beak as it rears up (really cool!). ET starts talking about the pteras beign a 'ficticious movie creation', shows some fx sketches, models, puppets, etc. Then shows 2 adult pteras circling near a cliff, where, if you look closely you can see that a glider is dangling, caught on the rocks. Talking to Dan Taylor about making the pteras now. Clip (my favorite part, its so freaky) of Billy staggering out of the river, with a ptera coming in behind him, but just as he's standing up, another ptera lands right on top of him and pushes him back into the water. Short shot of Billy & Eric being chased by the pteras on the glider. More Dan Taylor talking throughout all this, showing CG models, more sketches and animatronics being built. Shot of Ptera flying over enclosed bridge w/ group inside. Ptera shrieking at group from the door of the bridge, the shot of the 'big ptera feet' landing right in front of the camera, with Macy and some others backing away, then a shot of the Ptera on top of the bridge, ripping it open with its wing-claw-things (yeah that was scientific I know), and jumping down inside the bridge. Now they talk to Sam Neill about the terror of pteras. Shot of pteras flying in the clouds. CREEPY shot, close on the ptera's head, where it turns around and looks straight into the camera (appears to be taking place at the river). Long shot of ptera flapping around in the river, kinda looks like its standing on Billy or something.
    The END!

The Rex: To answer your question, yes the boy in the movie is named Eric but the man who takes Eric parasailing is named Ben. So really they are both stuck on the island. But something probably happens to Ben!

How come in trailer 5: the voice over man says "THEY HAVE COME TO RESCUE THEIR SON" and then Tea Leoni shouts "BEN" "BEN". I thought his name was Eric it also clearly states his name is Eric on the IMDB website.
