Don't blame Universal... they NEVER said anything new would be on it and COULD NOT release anything new on it anyways. It's in the exact same box with the exact same name, "Collector's Edition". You can not release the same DVD twice but have one have more features then the other. They'd have to have called it "Ultimate Edition" if they were gonna put more on it.

Oh well.

Still.... cool news. And I still have a TV Spot for Jurassic Park on tape. I discovered it the other week!!!

It is very cool! And yes, there was a better 2 and a half minute Jurassic Park trailer. It is at the beginning of the Lost World VHS PAL version in Australia. If I get a capture card I'll digitalize it.

I got the new DVD's about an hour ago! The TV spots are fake reports, it's the same crappy ol' trailers!!!

Does anyone know if the menus are different or are the commercials/trailers and DTS the only difference?

I have both Jurassic Park and Jurassic Park: The Lost World on DVD, the Full screen versions, I was planning on buying the Wide-screen versions when I had the $, I think I will get these, not only for the corrected DTS sound, but also for the new features,

I think I was just talking about this pracitce of making people buy movies again thing yesterday...these new discs do answer a question I asked myself while watching TLW on DVD: Where's the teaser? You know, the one with the stomping T-Rex and it says "SOMETHING HAS SURVIVED". That thing had me pumped when I saw it back in winter '96.

I think I'll just wait until Dec. when they will probably release a three pack along with the corrected dts audio track.

It's a double-edged sword. On one hand we complain about not having enough features, or DTS or whatever, and on the other hand we complain when they start releasing new editions of these movies to accomodate our needs.

Oh, the crappy "Making of..." and Phantom VHS.

Also, there was an hour long different "Making of..."

That's twenty different VHS by October.

Crap...now this is turning into the Star Wars fiasco.

-First copies in 1980s
-THX Mastered copies
-Special Edition copies
-Special Edition 4-set with Episode Two footage
-DVDs coming this October

What the fuck is that George?

The extra trailers for JP are good news! I knew there was a different (and better) JP trailer that wasn't the one on the discs!

This is why I didn't buy the DVD's... I knew something like this would come along. And even now, I'm going to wait until there's a box set with JP3. :)

I'll buy if they come with a 100% rebate. And a personalized apology by Spielberg for Universal's greed.

This sucks, I already have both DVDs with a crapy comertial. Wasn't there supposed to be an hour long review on JP3 on the old DVDs.
