That second review, yeah, that was gay.
Who the hell wants to see the Rex come back after it getting it's throat ripped out? Yeah, it could come back and fight, but it wouldn't be able to roar and in the middle of the scene it's head would fall off!
What a moron! The Rex starred in two movies, now it's time to let the Spino have its turn. Maybe for four there will be a new big bad boy, even badder than the rex or spino. That critic needs to die, and so do most of the rest of them!
Of course, these are just my personal views, and if you disagree with me, well, I could care less.

I must admit that i am going to see the movie numerous times...i mean come on its Jurassic Park for god sakes. On a final note i will say that i am trying not to get to worked up becuase i have yet to agree with a critic on a movie that i have seen. I myself don't understand this consept of "critics". A critic does nothing more than give his/her opinon on a movie, and lets be honest,if everyone went by what a dumbass said we wouldn't see too many movies!

    SPOLIERS AHEAD

I hate to shatter some hopes here, but my review was real and heartfelt.

I posted the review to Corona's Coming Attractions. The screening I saw took place Thursday morning, attended by a dozen or so industry types (there was a guy from Disney, one from Dreamworks, and the lady who ran it was from Universal). THe film was shown to bolster promotions for theatres.

I saw this film. I am not making anything up. It was only ninety minutes, and it felt cut up, as if at the last minute, someone (Spielberg) got cold feet about the intensity.

You want proof? I don't know how to prove it. Read the end of the post, I guess.

I liked the movie, though. I'm sad that people are calling my review negative. I loved the original film and I pretty well liked the first sequel. I am a regular joe, a geek, a guy who was unable to sleep the night before seeing the screening. I don't want anyone to be disappointed by this film's ending. And I wish someone would read my review and put the final battle back.

    That's all.

So, the proof. Read the following (which contains a small spoiler) for a taste of what's in the movie...
    *
    *
    *
    *
Eric Kirby rescues Grant from the raptors (the scene where they surrond him) by using gas grenades. He brings Grant into the trailer of an empty water truck, where he has taken refuge for eight weeks. The two of them talk some, Eric saying he read both of Grant's books, though he likes the first one better, before Grant hated dinos. Grant comments that it was written before any of them tried to EAT him. Grant asks if Eric read Malcolm's book, and Eric says yeah, but Malcolm seems "high on himself." Grant agrees.

besides: 90minutes till the end of the end credits! well, that leave about 85-86minutes for the movie or so?
I say, even with a tight fast pace, a movie like that should 100-105minutes of real screentime. quantity ain't quality but minimal quantity, or normla quantity, should be a sort of rule. especially since people are getting used to 2hrs+ movies.

INCREDIBLE! and worrysome I should say: seems those who had not particular feeling about the sequel will get pleased while die hard fans or people with high expections will be disappointed! there's always some truths to rumours or impressions: I'm starting to worry this won't be such a great film. argh!! the beauty and danger of the internet for a movie!!

To Mr Goodbytes, um, that's plain wrong. Just becasue raptors have a major role in trailers doesn't mean they're in the film much! Look at the Rock and The Mummy Returns. I thought Raptors were always under-used in JP films. Anyway, if it IS completely finished, it probably is 92 minutes, simply because Joe might have wanted to overhype it by saying it was definitely longer. That's two possible misleading things about JP3 then... I'll probably love it. So far the only great films I've seen this year are Shrek and Bridget Jones.

    READ THIS:

These reviews have to be fake and JP3 is not 90 minutes.

    The reasons:

    - Joe Johnston said it was definitely longer than 90 mins. He was honest with all of us since the beginning.

    - Producer Kathleen Kennedy says they shot 140 minutes worth of footage.

    - William H. Macy says that the action on the island clocks in at about 90 minutes (did you forget about the opening; the lecture with Dr. Grant at the college; Laura Dern's cameo; the dinner with Neill, Macy, Leoni, and Nivora; Grant's dream sequence (which Johnston says he fought to keep it in and it is - No one mentioned that!), etc.) We looking at possibility 130 minutes at the most.

    - Erin Brockovich's script was 119 pages. JP3 is 111 pages. Erin Brockovich had almost an hour worth of deleted scenes and the movie still clocked in at 132 minutes!

    - Plus, where's the proof that these "so-called" reviewers were even at the press screening. They have made-up JP names like us all, where as an actual reviewer wouldn't use such a name.

    - Evilgrinch.

    - The reviews are describing action we have seen in the previews.

    - The Press Screening says they applauded extenively.

    - Fake reviews were out before the release of Star Wars: Episode 1 - The Phantom Menace.

    - Can go on and on with how these reviews aren't real, just more pranks trying to ruin our awe of the best summer blockbuster of the year since A.I.

Ok guys. All I've seen and heard for the past 2 months is stuff like 'Pearl Harbor sucks and A.I. sucks' while both of those were excellent films. Of course, there is going to be people that HATE JP3 for no more than a reason to just diss the thing. People LOVE to diss long awaited films. Critics HATED TLW....I loved TLW. There were even mixed reviews of the original...and for Christ sake, HOW can you POSSIBLY find ANYTHING wrong with the original? THERE IS NOTHING WRONG!!! So, through the midst of these reviews, don't think for a second that JP3 will be a bad film, because it won't. It won't. It can't really, unless the rest of the film that the commercials don't show is absolute dog crap. We have seen that clip on Leno that was awesome. We have seen the stuff on ET, we have seen how awesome the CGI i, we've heard ho great the music is...we've seen how good the acting is (especially when Eric screams when he sees the walking ptera...the only thing that could hurt the movie is the ending, which I agree, after reading the end of that storybook, isn't that good. But at least the Spino doesn't get loose on the mainland. There is NO way JP3 will suck...sure it has a chance of being mediocre, but as far as being a bad film, no way. Not from what we've seen. So don't worry about it. By the way...didn't Johnston say the movie wasn't completely finished, PLUS everyone at the test screenings 'applauded extensively' plus...ah, just plus a bunch of crap. Geez. Two things can hurt the film: a 90 minute run time, and the ending. Now, we KNOW the movie is over 90 minutes...Johnston said it was...but culd it be 91 minutes? 92 minutes? We're not sure. Second...the ending...like I said, it cannot be worse than TLW's. So why worry about JP3? It will rock.

Ok, I think these reviews are a load of crap, am I the only person who likes The Lost World? I don't see anything wrong with it, I mean I liked how they sparked the film up with the T-Rex being in a city instead of a jungle.

As for the film being 90 minutes long, look the only reason JP 1 & 2 were so long, was because of the timing of just talking. Look at JP3, this film is going to be NON-stop action, so we are saying 90 minutes of non-stop awesome dinosaur effects, when JP 1 & 2 had not that all much if you think about it.

So what I am saying is that Jurassic Park 3 is going to rule! So SCREW THE CRITICS! It is what we think!

Ha! This reviewer is sick! Look what he said! He wants more people to be killed, that sadistic bastard! Haha! Another thing, this is one review, there will be about 100 legitimate others that could be good.

It is pointless to bicker over the quandries of one man and his review...anyway, the guy was just into the movie for the effects, not in the movie for the movie. I believe it'll be good.

I mean, how many other action films have no lulls whatsoever? Here are some popular titles.

"The Matrix" - have several lulls
"Alien" - some scenes were just a bore
"Independence Day" - I could name a few
"Air Force One" - barely any
"The Lost World: Jurassic Park" - yes, they were there

Give the man a break, we is just a reviewer and he has a right to his opinion. You too, Theory (what is your name?). We are fans of the flick, of course we will like it.

    Those are my two cents.

I liked The Lost World too. It's a very good action film. It's just too dark for me though.

Regarding the review at Home Theater Forum, I really have my doubts. Too many factual errors between what he says and the script. Another example: referring to the Kirby's as a 'wealthy couple'. In the script, there is an entire scene devoted to that deception and how they actually gave Grant a bogus check to get him to come to the island. They are not wealthy. This along with other factual errors really has me wondering.

I'm glad it's only 90 minutes. It'll be a tight rollercoaster ride ratehr then being boring. I'm more concerned with the fact that the potential classic 'offended' line is said to be missing.

I'm seeing it in the UK in the 17th so I'll reserve judgement until then.

Damn, only 92 mins, I thought Johnston said it was longer than 90mins a few weeks back. Only 2 mins over 90 isn't that great, I was hoping for at least an hour and 50 mins to go up against Spielberg's babies of 2 hrs 5 mins and 2 hrs 7 mins. I know this movie is still going to kick some ass, but only 92 mins!! DAMN!!

I remember reading a wide array of reviews for the first two JP movies. I also remember critics universally panning some movies that might have been bad, but still made a killing at the box office. Hell, Lost World broke box office records, and it wasn't as good as the first one...if JP3 is better than the Lost World, then I would consider it a success. I'll reserve judgment until I see the film for myself.

P.S. Terminator 2 was a joke compared to the original....

I put it under mixed because there were <i>some</i> good remarks about it. Bad, to me is: "Don't waste your time with this plithy filth."

That is one review! No need to worry folks, though if it gets bad reviews less people will see it. This is a fan-based movie.

    JP3 WILL BE <B>THE</B> MOVIE!

Okay, I'm going to be frank. I have been very, very excited about this movie for like five months now. I have been a gigantic fan of JP since '93.

When I first heard of JP3, and that Crichton, Williams, and Speilberg weren't going to be intensly involved, I though right then - and I remember this - that it definetly was NOT going to be critically acclaimed.

Now as I learned more - Johnson, Niel, Spinosaurus - I slowly began to realize: "This movie is going to kick ass!"

Yet, I still do not expect it to be as praised as at least the first one.

I am still very excited, I AM going to see it on July 18th. I will buy it on DVD. And I am sure as HELL going to enjoy it!

And I think that I am not alone.
