About the fence not being complete I think its supposed to be like that. Maybe the spino was already on the other side of the fence when he saw the people and started chasing them along it.

All of which we've seen before. The one with Dr. Alan Grant in it seems to be a different one in that there appears to be a raptor or something behind him (we've seen this one before too but they never showed the background).
