I wonder concerning that second news byte, does this mean people are going to enter the theater thinking that JP3 is directed by Steven Spielburg? Would that be good or bad?

Any perhaps I’ve been a little harsh on the DBZ issue, so without further ado,

Top Ten GOOD Things About Dragon Ball Z

    10) You can skip watching the show for weeks at a time without worrying about missing much plot advancement.

    9) The title provides a new source of humor for those sick of “Uranus” jokes. Really people, dragon balls?

    8) It’s helps fill the void of large hairy, speedo sporting-villains missing from modern television.

    7) You just can’t hear the line, “You’ll have to do better than that!” too many times.

    6) Helps demonstrate the importance of staring contests in the martial arts.

    5) Shows kids that with a little exercise, they too can fly around and blow up planets.

    4) You never have to worry about missing anything subtle.

    3) We know we live in an enlightened society when we see widespread acceptance of a children’s show that is so blatantly homosexual.

    2) No other show provides 50 time more grunting than actual dialogue.

    1) It makes the Dukes of Hazzard and Sailor Moon look like artistic masterpieces in comparison.

yes...i am a strong advocate of anti-censorship...doesn't our constitution or bill of rights or whatever the hell piece of paper grant us freedom of speech? I don't see why that means you can't have so-called swear words and minor nudity on television, mankinds greatest invention since sliced bread...and did we censor sliced bread?! no we did not! and still it sits there harmless in the refridgerator, staying fresh ands moist in its plastic bag...but alas...will it's grainy goodness force a child to kill his classmates or to do drugs? no! and i don't see why tv would to...and it appalls me to think that CABLE tv is censored......after all you pay for it...you know what youre getting into...if channels like playboy and spice offer hardcore porn, then what is wrong with a network of cartoons showing blood or strong language or nice-looking some timews nude women. whats wrong with blood....all it does is oxygenate your body as well as carry precious whjite blood cells, you have all cut your self and seen it...has it traumatized you? no! so whats wrong with it gracefully flowing outta the open neck of a guy whose head was blown off by big gun? and trhen thers strong language.....kids SHOULD learn it...it'll save their lives someday...say you drop a brick or two on your foot....what you say? "Oh gee golly darn that smarts!" no! you'll get the shit beat out of you most likely...but you use "swear" words anbd nobody will care because they are normal...and the really nice women...hey...it gives guys hope and happiness....and whats wring with the two H's? i reiteratre by saying...mothers....don't complain to the networks or companies about a guy getting ripped to shreads by a dinosaur and having that dinosaur devour him afterwards......its just nature...nature red in tooth and claw....and don't bring this onj oprah about moving drawings of nice women on cable TV that werer imported from zacross the pond....we no need you here....go over there and complain and then die.....and don't sue guys cuz they have a few swear words on their network that you pay to watch! down with puritan america! on the with the pursuit of happiness and for thr truth and justice of our american way....for doesn't not the great eagle on our contrie's seal carry besides an olive branch a bundle of spears?! our great country was born in the turmoil of a war....are you to take that away from us,the patriots of a better united states?!?! well if you try....i know ill go rattlesnake on your ass cuz YOU...TREADED...ON...ME!!!!!!!

(((he he he he, that was fun...although if you have something gainst it, don't take it seriously, just having some fun....but if you head my call then do whatever is necesary...whatever isd necesarry)))

Faulkner this REALLY sounded like a prez speech!

DBZ is cool... but the series are OVERlong with bull in the middle... the DBZ books are great...

also... other animes like Ninja Scroll or Street Fighters were nice too!

well i mean, i, like many other people, would like to see the JP books into some sorta of moving picture...now we all know a movie'd be too long and expensive...and a TV series might be too cheap(like that lost world show) and i was thinking animation...and i love anime so i was just thinking that...and i dunno bout that america thing...im ustly just pissed at puritan america....there is the other side of america....and i agree with kiyoneon DBZ. DBZ could be good if it could move a plot along worth crap...i mean series like my fav Gundam are alot better and well i think i should stop cuz this a jurassic park site and not an anime one so im stopping....now...period

I don't know about a Jurassic Park anime... I can't really see JP as anything but print and live action.

I don't mean to sound like an ass myself, but you have GOT to be kidding about Dragon Ball Z. I don't see the appeal.

Wh0a, you guys are blowing this way outta proportion.

Anime Jurassic Park would make it's credibility spiral down and blow up and my respect for the series would die. Anime is dumb except for Dragonball Z.

Sorry to sound like an ass, but everything can't be anime.

you know what kiyone, i was thinking that it'd be cool to do an anime Jurassic Park OVA that follows the books exactly...cept that possibly the characters that are in the books that are also in thew movies should look like their movie counterparts...it'd be more recognizable that way.....one can dream...

Right on, Faulkner. If anime brings out violent tendencies, why is the murder rate so low in their country of origin? With child and wife abuse on the rise in this country, I think the finger waging done to media is a case of projection on a grand scale.

Oh, one more thing, when Macy said "kids" I think he might have meant teens, and not your Barney crowd. After all, a kid is basically anyone younger than you.

At 4:51:06 PM on 6/19/2001, Faulkner said:
well dinosaurs have been regarded by ignorant people as kid stuff...like for instance I say to people that im reading a dinosaur book and they ask me if im a little too old for that, albeit the book being well over 500 pages with advanced vocabulary...thers just no getting round it...and even though a movie'll have death and destruction like dinos tearing through people, kids will still see it...whether they hafta go with their parents or not, they'll get past he ratings barrier....i have experience in this one, for example, you all remember Starship Troopers. Now the movie is pretty ordinaryt PG-13 sci-fi on the outside, humans vs big bugs....hell they even had action figs.....yet the movie is pretty gory and "adult" and is rated R, yet back when it was released, me and my brother had to see it with my dad as did the loads of other kids in the theatre as well...america has been too puritan latley...specially in the kid department....take all your censorized saturday morning cartoons...but if you look at your old looney tunes...many are pretty "adult" like when foghorn leghorn called thst little smart nerd chicken "yahoo"(you know what i mean) cuz he didn't play baseball...or then therer are gangster stories and junk with guns....but alotta times the only fire power you see in todays toons are pikachus "thunder bolt" or whatnot. this is taken even further with the anime invasion going on nowadays...many of you are probably knowledgeable about anime, which is in lamens terms is japanese import "cartoons"(although it's more like animated art). well its usually more literal over therer on their "kid" anime theres blood and swears and grown up themes like God and junk...but herer thats forbidden, so when it gets imported to broadcast, blood is erased, cigarettes are replaced by toothpicks, alcohol is now "tea", naked women with nothing showing are given painted on swimsuits and the language is toned down alot...it even happens on cable on the cartoon network's toonami, which is mainly all anime(although they did show uncensored Gundam Wing, albeit at midnight eastern time).....and whos to blame...puritan parents, daytime television and crappy people willing to sue saying that a guy gathering energy in a ball and hurling them at alien badguys has traumatized their children and that now they'll go and blow up a school.....its time for parents to take action and not rely on the networks to censor what their children see, its time for daytime television to be replaced by football games and footage of animals attacking people, it's time for stupid people to stop making frivoulous lawsuits...it's time for america to grow up...and it's time for me to realize ive gone of the topic way too long....and it's time for me to stop riiiiight now....period

    Yeah,

If it's a "kids" movie, then why has it been rated a 12 in the UK.

That's the same rating Titanic, Pearl hrabour etc got.
And I wouldn't call them kids movies.

JP3 is a kids movie? Then why is it rated PG13? Winnie the Poo, now that's a kids movie, but JP3? Where humans are shown being ripped to pieces by enormous sail-backed dinosaurs? I don't think so.
