I think HMT misunderstood WJW's point and overreacted with insults (WJW never insulted HMT as openly as HMT did to WJW). Fact is, HMT had possession of an illegal script and started posting parts of it on the web, so he should've known full well what would happen. Now he seems quite bitter about it, calling people "assholes" when the only one fitting of that term may be HMT himself.

And wjw, you idiot. My site is full of unauthorized photos from the sets, which I took myself, including the final scene of the film and NOBODY is going to tell me to take those down.

For those wondering why I just didn't post the whole script at once. It was never my intention to post the whole thing at all until after the film came out. Just enough to keep us all interested. I certainly didn't want to give out the juicy stuff that you all are going to really enjoy in the film. It's full of action, some really great humor and two or three interesting story lines running all at once. What my earlier post meant was that the script was obviously the real thing or Universal wouldn't have freaked out. And for those who are unaware, I certainly didn't steal the script, I purchased it for $200.00 off Ebay. I don't know how the seller got it or if it was even real when I got it. I waited until the trailer to see if dialogue matched up. It did, so I started posting it, a page or two at a time. I never would have gone past page 35 prior to the film's release.
I've noticed a couple of asshole's with really jerky post's in this thread. Fuck off to them.

    Aloha,

I doubt Universal waited until page 19 appeared to demand it eb taken down, so obviosuly they did not see it on here. AICN is at fault. Sicne Universal is selling the book, no one can get in trouble for posting it's pics. Maybe the publishers if released too soon.

Folks, this is GOOD news. Why would you want to wait 4 years for this movie, just to know everything about it before it comes out?

Knowing the JP3 script before seeing the movie is the worst idea in the long, sad history of bad ideas, and I'll be in the theater when everyone finds that out.

I wander if anything is going to happen to that guy that is giving out info from the advanced copy of the book. He's given just as much info as Bob.

Evilgrinch, but once Universal heard of him doing that, they could sue him for continued distribution of the script after they contacted him, reguardless of whether or not it was still available,

If Universal is taking legal action against you Bob, why have they not taken action against the guy who sold it to you on Ebay?

That sucks. Oh well, atleast the movie won't be completely spoiled for us. Maybe it's better this way.

I think that Universal has the rights to do it, after all, the script is copyrighted material, property of Universal.

Anyway, it sucked that they obligated Bob to remove it from the site, after all it was just for the fans! %)

    But it wasn´t a fake or ??

If I were Bob, I would email Dan, and then for 1 hour post the whole script on the site.

Then, remove it before Universal could do anything.

By the end of the day, everyone would have a copy on their computers, and Universal could do nothing.

Bob, you should've kept your mouth shut about having the script at all, and spend time scanning ALL the script pages onto your PC and loading them to your website. THEN, you should've released them ALL AT ONCE! Then people would've had time to save all the pages to their hard drive. That would've been better, wouldn't you agree? :-)

Nah, I doubt anyone but Johnston comes here, and he rarely. Universal probably spotted it when Harry posted it and immediatly moved in to get it down. We already know that studios watch AICN.

I guess if any of us had questions whether the script was real or not, they have been answered. Ha!

It was only a matter of time before this happened. I'm not sure what the guy was thinking - scripts are copyrighted. He's lucky Universal is playing it nice and not suing, which they have every right to do. And I wouldn't blame Ain't-it-Cool. The big wigs at Universal keep an eye on fansites like this one. They probably knew since day one and were just weighing their legal options. Of course, this begs the question, if they will fight over a script, will they also tell Dan to take down any photos not approved by Universal?
