actaully, after such a traumatic event, going back with knowledge of what to expect would make sense. For a movie. In real life, one would build small robot ones to desensitize with. For a movie, people return for closure.
Besides, if after a decade she still hasn't gotten over it, how sane could she be?
Still makes more sense than a shipwreck or being abducted and held hostage by humans there. Or half the ideas Holywod Hacks would come out with. Duh, my boyfriend went to see what all the fuss about dnagerous dinos was about. Must go rescue.

That is funny, it really is, especially Lex, so, she barely escaped the first time around, you think she is going to "face her fears" and go back to have to escape being killed again?, that is funny, lol, and I do not think Kelly, reguardless of her little kick, would be fearless against dinosaurs,

Crichton will NEVER write another JP book. It's become a bloated movie franchise and any more books he writes for the "series" will obviously be striped and bastardized to meet the "Hollywood standards". Just look at what they did to The Lost World. He has his artistic integrity to protect and by writing any more books, he is -basically- bowing to the movie industry. Crichton is too smart to become a puppet.

Unless, of course, he does what he did for Twister and writes the screenplay...

It makes no sense to have JP Movies with newbies goign against the dinos. It makes betetr sense for peopl with experience to go back. Ie, JP???. Let's sya Grant willingly went to rescue Eric, fully knowing what to expect. Surprise. Raptors are super smart, and hold them hostage. That's a plot. Besides, common sense dictates every newbie act like Lex. Every dino must be assumed carnivorous, and therefore (however poorly) avoided. Now, you know what to expect having been there before, and surprise. Sauropod squashes you.
As for returning, apart from one rex, Nick barely had any dino trouble. Tim and Sarah like dinos, and would go to defend/save them. Lex would go to face her fears, and Kelyl, well, after you gymnaustic kick a Raptor onto spikes, you really think she'll fear any dinos?
I think the Raptors will become so smart, they learn to use the computers, and e-mail everybody, and blackmail them onto the island for a banquet, in their honor. Namely, a human banquet for Raptors.
As for a third book, yup, Micheal Crichton is the only human unable to change his mind. He once refused to eevr do a sequel,a nd it's not liek he wrote TLWBook. So therefore, by saying he'll never do another JP or any sequel, he cna neevr chaneg his mind, or else day will ebcome nigth, night full of mosnters, and clowns will die. Heck, even Sam Neill said he wouldn't do a 4th one, and now he's saying he would, having actually done the third one. If I didn't know any better, and I don't, I'd swear humans can change their minds afetr syaing no. what a silyl conlcusion for em to jump to.

No, Malcolm predicted a lot of stuff before it actually happened ("Life will find a way" anyone??). However, he WAS a dumbass for going to Isla Sorna for a "rescue mission" when he could have easily picked up the phone and called the proper authorities to spare him the time and effort. That was obviously a contrived plot idea so Crichton could deliver a story for Speilberg. And the only reason Malcolm was so popular from the first movie was because he was the comic relief. Part of the reason the book wasn't that good was because the character Crichton chose for his lead may have been entertaining when played on-screen by Jeff Goldblum, but he was just a boring know it all on the page.

Guess what? reaccuring character is possible. . .by only one possibility: The government, or other higher authority, use the experienced people foe guidlines. I doubt any of them would want to get in contact with another dino, however Grant does go back. . .

As for Malcolm, he only went along with Levine to prove him wrong, then to save him, then to escape with his life (again)
As a side note, I don't think Malcolm is that smart anyway. It seems that Malcolm is always saying, "I predicted this from the beginning. . ." or some other sh!t like that, he never fortells his thoughts. Interesting huh?

Okay, let's stop and think here for a minute, can we people? These ideas about combining characters from TLW and JP is really far fetched and would make for a really lousy story. The chances of some of the major characters from both films somehow meeting and all going to the same island that has been deemed dangerous (they all have first-hand experience of that!) would kill the movie right there. The only idea that would make any kind of sense at all would be.... wait a minute, there really is nothing sensible left to do with the series. And whoever gave the idea of a dinosaur mortal kombat type movie really has to lay off the arcade games! LET'S JUST GET THROUGH THE 3rd INSTALLMENT FIRST!!!!

Oh, and for those thinking Michael Crichton will come out with a third JP book, forget it! He has stated plainly that he will never write another sequel to any of his books again, never mind a trilogy. I guess we'll have to rely on our own pathetic imaginations for a third book idea.

Yes, I DID read the book and I STILL can't understand why Malcolm didn't just alert Costa Rican authorities. And even THAT's stretching it because Levine was such a damn nuisance, Malcolm should have just left his ass there.
And as far as reluctance goes, Malcolm HAD to have known there were dinos on Isla Sorna because Levine even mailed him a slice of dino skin, proving the existance of more dinosaurs.

So, again: If Malcolm was so smart, he never would have set foot on that island.

Why does everyone want recurring characters??? You can't TRULY expand on these stories if you keep trying to work in characters from the original story.

And does anyone understand why MALCOLM was brought back for TLW (book and movie)??? I mean, first of all, Grant was by far the coolest character from the first book/movie and secondly, in the first book MALCOLM DIED. What made him so special? And don't say his intelligence because if he was so smart, he never would have stepped foot on an island inhabited by dinosaurs after what happened in the first story.

JP4, common people, it's like predicting Star Wars: Episode 7, it's just not going to happen. The only way it could (and respect to all others who have said this) is with a killer story. JP started it(the accual Jurassic Park), TLW told us the truth (Site B, as well as dinos on the mainland), JP3 will show us changes(evolution, mutation, "life finds a way"), what comes after that? Finale. A great big, special effect, large boobed, gun blazin', blood splattering, dino roarin' good time. And then the Pokemon show up. . . .

I assure you, nobody will set any JP movie solely on Nubalr jsut so you can see a bunch of dilapidated buildings/cars, and no dinos. You can just go to Sorna, and get dinos, too. Especially since TLW stated numerously that Nublar is dinoless. And only once was this statement of fact cut. You do the math.
The documentary idea works best, and then BioSyn is discovered smuggling eggs/babies to Nublar to opent heir own park, for dino hunting/viewing. And in transport, they are saboetoge dand dinos are relase din Costa Rica's jungles.
Anyway, Becase oft hestupid changes in Grant, it's kinda hard to convince either him or Malcolm to return tot he dinos. Especially when Malcolm hears of Grant's adventures.
But yes, give Lex a starring role. Guys have dominated neough. Girl power (hey, Ariana's other monster movie series, Tremors, can use a Mindy lead Tremors 4. Keep Ariana real busy and tried.)
T-rex vs Kelly? I'd be more afraid when Kelly snaps and breaks else, and goes on a killing gymnastic spree.

Here's an idea for another sequel:

InGen launches a scheme, sending a near-crazy Lewis Dodgson and some workers to sneak onto Isla Sorna, capture some dinosaurs, put them on a boat and take them to their own island to make their own attraction. (You can't expetct money-hungry corperations to just sit back and let an island of DINOSAURS exist without trying to cash in on it, can you?)
However, the boat, caught in a storm en route to it's destination, is destroyed and crashes onto an island. Dodgson, the only survivor, is left alone on this island with who knows what dinos, while other creatures make their way to the mainland. Within a mater of months, the dinosaurs spread across the continent, terrorizing everything in their path. Soon, despite efforts from the military as well as self-made "dino-hunters", the monsters re-claim their ground and come to "rule the earth" once again.

    There's your sequel.
    The title: "Jurassic Park: Annihilation."
    The tagline: "No survivors."

Hey, It would be cool to re-vist Numblar again. They never explained what happened to the Eymbros (They most likely were crushed or destoryied, but hey this is a story where ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN! Mutated Dinos, anyone?) or we atleaat could see the Park all destoyied and stuff. Sonra is beating Numblar by one, end the series on the Orginal Island, ISLA NUMBLAR, better known as.... JURASSIC PARK.

But, i don't want Speilberg doing the 4th movie, he ruined TLW, and the book kicks the movie's butt, and it would have been awesome if he did the movie more so based on the book. But I will admit, i thought TLW was better at one time than Jurassic Park (But I was about 10 years old when that came out, i didn't know any better!) But TLW is still a pretty good movie, just with some dumb parts. Joe J. seems to be doing a great job with JP 3, but i wish he put it on NUMBLAR! Everyone thinks this movie is better looking than JP, but, everyone thinks that at first, you never really know until you see it. I hope it is, but maybe, maybe not.

Hey, is it just me, or does it seems when a sequel gets a new Director, the movie is great or pretty good? Example: Star Wars.
It had different Directors, and it seems when you have a different director's point of view of how the movie should be like, then the fans are happy because, The other director saw it from a Fan's point of view (Hopefully).

My Point: If Joe J. has an awesome movie, then yes, let him do another one, if not, step aside (please) and let another one help or let a great friend of your do it. Someone you can trust that will make the next great. Hey itr never hurts to change!

As far as I'm concerned, Lost World didn't count! You need a 4th JP film to complete the trilogy! I don't know what they could use, but they would need a very original idea that would be totally different from the first three (not another island trip). And Lex should have a staring role, maybe she can inherit the dinos from Hammond or something.

JP4??? Only if Steven directs it and has a REALY good story, 'cause you can bet anything Michael Crichton's not doing any more stories for JP (he's said so himself). If the story sucks, I'd hope they would have enough sense to kill it off before too far into production, just to save teh series from total humiliation. Don't get me wrong, I'm about as big a JP fan as you can get without trying to clone your own dinos, but if a JP4 came along and wreck a perfectly good namesake like Jurassic Park, I would seriously take my money for the theatre and burn it! But, let's not get to that yet! Let's wait for this next one to finish production and hit the theatres. I'm pumped!
