When Hammond visits Grant and Ellie in the trailer, pay attention to some of the newspaper clippings next to the fridge: Among them are "Space Aliens Stole My Face" and "Dinosaurs on Mars!". (From: Patrick)

Oh man, you guys just reminded me how much the lost worl sucked! The dinosaurs were cool, but the rest was stupid. Where DID they come up with the stupid idea of kelley and her gymnastics against a killing machine of nature? And there just HAPPENED to be a stake for the raptor to become impaled on. Stupid or what folks? JP3 better not have anything in it that would make me say "as if" or I will be pissed.

    Hahahahaha ewwwwwwwwwww.

*Remembers Kelly scene. *Oh yeah. *Shudders* I stand corrected. But still, its better than crashlanding on the island isnt it! a lot more believable to be stuck on the island by the plane being destroyed in an attack then "oh look the island! oh look a storm!" CRASH.

Don't forget to watch Udesky turn brown as he passes through a raptor's digestive system!

There have been many stupid films made from many laissez faire writers, even from Universal, so I consider my fear justified. Would you have believed that Kelly scene if it was described to you beforehand. THAT was stupid.

heh heh "...does anybody else change colours?"
Why yes! Watch Macy turn green with Envy as Grant cracks on his wife! Watch Grant turn bright red as he realises theyre gonna land on the island! Watch Billy turn Blue as he is hunted by the Pteranodons! See yourself turn white, blue, and red as Jurassic Park/// Exceeds all expectations and dazzles you, excites you, and makes you hold your breath in sheer adrenaline and fear!
oh and kiyoine, its thought that they dont just crashland on the island again. (The writers aint stupid, why do you think they work for UNIVERSAL!) they land on the island (forced by someone i believe) then crash upon take off again. or something along those lines.

Good God are they amd? No Kellyesque scenes allowed. That was so unbelievable. They took a slightly cool character and made her act impossible. Make someone acr likw Tim and Lex and solve mysteries and save the day.
Did no one from Universal read anything on the overwhelming hatred of Gymnastic Cut Kelly.
If you want to know how good of a job Johnston did, ask yourself:Would Spielberg turn over the reigns to his precious little baby, that he came up with the basic idea for, to anyone he didn't trust? If Johnston has Spielberg approval, he msut be great. And if either or both of 2 certain directors are reading this, you so better not make me into a liar on this one.
Hey Bob, do the Carnotaurus, or anyonebody else change colors?

Um, Mattman, you DO know that Bob's read the script, was there on the set, and has very generously provided this website a hell of a lot of material we would otherwise never see right? He may not have watched the completely film but if anyone outside of the production can vouch for it, he can.
Personally Bob, I thank you for alleviating my fears. Although I’m apparently running the risk of crippling the film, I still have to say it looks like JP3 will rock.

Thanks for your post HMT. Your matter-of-fact tone has put all our fears to rest. Oh, WAIT A MINUTE, you couldn't possibly have seen the movie yet. Maybe you should wait until you SEE it before you start saying crap like that. It's people like you who build up Star Wars-Episode I to impossible standards. Just wait and see. Sure, the movie looks great, but we don't KNOW until we see it.

Actually, that was a <i>Parasaurolophus</i> colliding with a <i>Corythosaurus</i>, almost crushing some people in between.

I just saw The Mummy Returns and I can tell you. After the Jurassic Park trailer you can walk out cause that movie was filled with more stereotypes than an episode of baywatch. Good thing they didn't give The Rock any lines!
But The Jurassic Park 3 trailer is totally worth it! Only my computer doesn't give the sound of the trailer in the Jurassic Park website, does anyone have the same problem, did you solve it?

Kiyone--Put your fears to rest regarding this film just being about stranded people and attempting to survive. Because of the actions of someone (I won't tell you who), survival takes on a whole new meaning. Several storylines going on here which builds to alot of suspense.
And for those who keep asking, yes, you will see Ankylosaurs and a Carnotaur.

After watching the trailer a zillion times and reading the script, I really feel Joe Johnston AND THE WRITERS have done a great job of putting the film together.
We're going to see humor, intensity, suspense and incredible, non-stop (breathtaking sometimes)action from the beginning to the last frame. I can hardly wait to see it!

I thought the Lost World had some good scenes in it, they just didn't come together to make a decent or coherent whole. It was like bits and pieces of a bunch of different dinosaur films pieced together. It was still fun though, just not good as a sequel to JP. So there's going to be another scene like Kelly's gym kick? What, has Eric been forced to drop out of the flag team by his father’s wishes and in the climatic moments he stabs the spinosaur through the neck with a flag?

I admit I was worried when Joe Johnson took the helm. Considering his past with films like “Honey I Shrunk the Kids” and “Jumanji” it looked like JP3 was doomed to kiddie land. Don’t get me wrong, kid’s films can be very good some times, but I don’t think that was the direction to go, particularly in light of last years “Disney’s Dinosaur”. Well these two trailers sure as hell put those fears to rest. JP3 looks tight and intense. I’m still worried about the plot though. I mean, a plane crash on Sorna and the subsequent attempt to escape is about the single most generic JP plot anyone could cook up. I hope there’s something more to it, like they find some dirty secrets of Ingen’s or some other surprise twist to make things more interesting than ANOTHER trip to a dinosaur island and ANOTHER struggle to get off. It’s been done. Twice. I have faith in Johnson though. He’s shown nothing but class, even emailing Dan and listening to our comments. I’ve never heard or a director doing that before, especially not with a big budget movie like this.

it probably couldn't be the same one:
    1. Enrique in TLW didn't speak English
    2. Enrique in TLW was way scared of even coming close to the island chain
    3. Enrique was not about money. Even after being offered lots of money, he didn't want to dock close to the island.
    4. Enrique's wife would be pissed if he even came close to that island.

In the Grand scheme of things, what's more important: A good script/movie or good box-office revenues?
Personally, I think it's the movie that matters, but Big Shot motion picture producers may think differently.
Will this movie "sell out" like TLW did and be nothing more than a summer "popcorn movie" or will it be an interesting, engaging, thought-provoking thrill ride like JP1? It's hard to say from this page of script, but I have to admit the trailer makes the movie look a *tad* contrived. Time will tell...

I find JP3 to be a "remake" of The Lost World. I found it wise to take apart the novels and use them in later projects like the Bowmans in the JP novel used in TLW. I think Arliss' character was Levine, but with a different name.

I like Roland Tembo, that was a great character but Koepp can't write all that good. That script proves that the dialogue is fanatasic!

I want you all to know that this movie will be longer than The Lost World, I'm thinking 140 minutes. How the hell can you have all this stuff in the movie and have it 105 minutes?

Finally, this looks like a whole lot of fun and scarier that the first time you see JP. Look at the tone of the damn thing! By the way, that dino that screeches in Paul's face looks like a pteranadon, the chameleon dino!

As far as the dinosaurs go, TLW rocked. Everything else in that movie was trash. I admit Crichton's novel needed some tightening up to make the transition into an action movie, but Koepp virtually re-wrote the damn thing, giving it a ridiculous tone and silly characters. Combining Arby and Kelly into Malcom's daughter was strike number one. Getting rid of Thorne and Levine was strike number two. How about the laughable dialogue? Or the one-dimentional characers? Or maybe Kelly's amazing gymnastics that "saved the day"? And can SOMEBODY please tell me why the chameleon dinos from the book (that would have made KILLER toys, by the way..) were NOT EVEN MENTIONED????

As long as David Koepp had nothing to do with this script, it's going to be great. Even though he co-wrote JP1, he still had Crichton over his shoulder, keeping him in line. And just look what he did with the sequel when left by himself. I am still weeping for the great film that COULD have been made from The Lost World, but he had to go and bastardize it.
