While Eddie successfully pulls the two-part trailer back up the cliff in TLW with his Mercedes ML320, it's unlikely that the SUVs' 215-hp V6 engine could have done it. (From: 'JasonSpidey')

kiyone, Lynchburg, Virginia, they were doing the trivia and slideshow thing a while back here, but lately I have not noticed it, so they may have stopped, but they may not have, I hope so, lol,

Huh. Well that explains it. Thanks Dan. Where do you find out about all this stuff?

I'm still going to have to TP the cineplex though. ^_^

What I heard what that some theaters that ordered multiple prints of TMR received some with the JP3 trailer attached to the film, while others received the JP3 trailer loose "in the can". In the second case, the theater could choose not to attach the trailer to the film, they could choose not to show it at all, or attach it to another film.

The thing about the trivia is that it's usually "who wants to be a millionaire quality" like "what Steven Spielburg film revolved around a man eating shark? Please people. Then they have those "surveys" that ask the audience to clap in response. There are always, ALWAYS about five people alone together in the theater who clap every time one of those things pop up. After a while you just want to strangle them. I would rather just talk with whomever I'm with that watch some advertisers slides, but theey’re so distracting. You say they stopped using them in your area? Where is that?

I know what you are talking about, those trivia's can be entertaining while waiting a long time for a movie to start, then you notice they show the same 5 ones over and over, and they get annoying, they stopped doing that here, awhile back, or at least I think, back when Jurassic Park: The Lost World came out, I was at the movie theater at 7 in the morning, waiting for it to open, when it did, I bought my ticket, which was #001, and I still have, and went to sit down, and wait for the movie, which was like a 45 minute wait, lol, it felt SOOOOO
    much longer, lol,

Yeah I'm with you, Drakk. Around were I live you can't go to a theater without getting a long ass LA Times commercial, none of which make any sense. It will show a man jumping out of a burning building, show how the special effects for the scene was done, and then it will say: "Get the story: Get the times" What the hell? What really bugs me are the coke slide shows they show before hand with the "trivia" and crap. It's like you can't go 3 seconds without someone trying to sell you something.

While we are on the subject of trailers, is anyone else pissed off about COMMERCIALS being shown before movies now?, I mean come on, if I go to a movie, I want to sit down, watch the trailers, then watch the movie, not have to sit thru a f***ing Coca-cola or Pepsi or Ford/Chevy/whatever car or truck commercial, it disgusts me, and totally pisses me off, anyone else feel that way?,

lol hey, at least you GOT the JP3 trailer. I had to sit through "Doctor Dolittle 2"!

It could be that it was a different movie, when I went to see The Mummy Returns, it had the Jurassic Park 3 trailer, Shrek, Pearl Habour, and a bunch of other crap I do not remember, it was pissing me off because the Jurassic Park 3 trailer was like the next to last one, and of course there were 10-15 mins worth of trailers, but no Final Fantasy, now, I want to see Pearl Habour, but a 5 minute trailer for it while I was waiting for the Jurassic Park 3 one pissed me off, lol,

I wonder what the policy is on something like that. I know both the JP3 and FF:TSW were supposed to be attached with TMR, but do the theaters only show them at their own digression? Or maybe it wasn't TMR that FF:TSW was supposed to be attached to, that's just what I heard.

The trailer was before The Mummy Returns when I saw it, but not Final Fantasy, kiyone,

    OK, I uploaded it.
If I give a direct link, they'll delete it off of the server, so here is the URL: http://ww.i-pity-the-fool.net

The link is at the very bottom. Nothing else on the page works except the link for the trailer.

No, Cyberdino is not alone. I went to see "The Mummy Returns" at a UA theater in Pasadena and there was no JP3 trailer and to add insult to injury, no Final Fantasy, Shrek, or Pearl Harbor trailers either! Instead we got Animal and Scary Movie 2. UGH! I am ever so pissed.

I saw The Mummy Returns twice yesterday, and for the trailer. My favorite part of the movie was when the dinosaurs ran across the field.
