Rather than to create the TLW Mamenchisaurus CGI model from scratch, the ILM animators merely streched out the Brachiosaurus model from Jurassic Park in all the right places and gave it a new skin. (From 'Dilophosaurus')

if the execs aren't included on the poster that doesn't mean the movie doesn't have any! The sound effects or ILM aren't either stated on the poster, but does that mean they aren't involved in the movie? The only weird thing is that they missed the oppurtunity to add the magical words SPIELBERG on the poster. But then, that's more place for other people who most likely did more work on the movie.

At 2:47:41 AM on 4/30/2001, Owen said:
Just adding to my previous post on this subject, you would also notice on the poster that NO exec producer is listed. Obviously the movie has to have an exec producer. So this adds further weight to the explanation that they didn't have room on the poster to list Spielberg(due to the extra Johnston credit).

Oh boo-fuckin-hoo!!! Who cares,I just wanna see the new dinos,I could care less if I see Spielberg's name on there or not.

BTW.. The Stargate SG-1 Movie is more than a rumor... it was found out at a press release by Showtime Entertainment. It should feature the cast of SG-1 (i.e. no Kurt Russell) and be a sequel to the movie Stargate

At 1:52:18 AM on 4/30/2001, Owen said:
I think what we should remember is that there is only a certain amount of room on that poster. They obviously cannot list everyone who has a credit. You notice that the poster lists "a Joe Johnston film" with all the other credits, but JP and LW posters didn't put the "a Steven Spielberg film" credit mixed with the others (it was placed above the logo:thus providing room to list exec producers). So I think there just simply wasn't room to list Spielberg as Exec Producer, as the extra space was taken up by the "a Joe Johnston film" credit. It seems the logical explanation. I'm sure when the credits roll at the end of the actual film we will see "Executive Producer Steven Spielberg". :-)

Ok, look. I could care less whether or not Steven worked on JP3 at all. He's not the only good film director. He didn't make Star Wars. He didn't do the Alien series. He didn't do Titanic, we didn't do a lot of the best movies out there. So who cares if he worked on JP3. Joe Johnston is one talented mofo, he done Jumanji, Honey I Shrunk the Whatever, October Sky, all of which are good films. Spielberg is great but he doesn't have to be the only one to direct movies. I'm sure JP3 is just as good without him. So don't worry about it. Geez.

First of all if i directed a movie and its sequel and i hand the reigns to another director i'd love to get SOME credit, besides, none of us would be here at this site or any other JP site today if it weren't for Spielberg and Chrichton, so i think that either this is another one of those JP3 rumors or that theres been some kind of mistake.

They're rumors of a new StarGate Movie based on the series. But first comes the fifth season.
Anyway, Spielberg usually refuses credits on stuff he barely works on. Ditto now. heck, at the Poeple's Choice Awards when JP won, he refused to stand on stage and accept, until Kathleen Kennedy forced him up.
10-1 he says in every interview he barely did anything because Joe et al were just plain geniuses without him.

Remember it was only a rumour that Steven didn't like the film! - I do distinctly remeber a rumour about Helen Hunt too, and where did that go? - so rumours aren't always right! - not all exec producers get a mention on the poster - and it probably is not the final one

BTW.. this is not a fake poster.. i saw it in the U.S. (King of Prussia, PA to be exact).. so it looks like its not just for overseas advertising...

I beielve than Don Davis is a musician as he did the musical score to "The Matrix"... its not all wierd... and btw STARGATE SG-1 ROCKS!!! (NOT AS MUCH AS JP THOUGH)

Spielberg probaly feels that this film will do good with out him. He's worried about his whiney A.I. movie and probaly feels like he needs to use his star power there. JP3 will rule!

Sam Neil said that it would be better than the previous films, hes a really reliable actor. I also think that Steven Spielberg has nothing to do with this film at all, why would he say it sucked if he had somthing to do with the movie?

Exactly, the TLW sucked. It had a horrible plot, some bad acting, and the list goes on. Jurassic Park, however, had a decent plot, and very good acting, topped with awesome CG and animatronics. The movie rocked! I feel that JP3 will be a good movie, however I do worry about the plot.

Do you guys think Spielberg is actually serious about this being a bad movie or is he just jealous? It kind of seems to me like he's jealous. Or maybe his part to the story wasn't used.

Isn't this a fake poster. Even if it is real international posters are somtimes wrong or give different info about films. This doesn't look real to me. Isn't that flying dino that pic that was posted a while back of the one supposedly in the movie. It looks like sombody did a big paint shop job on the two pics and combined them.

Listen, I really don't care if Steven gave Joe the producer's seat, I really don't care who is producing the movie. I just feel that Speilberg should be there to aid Johnston, because above all other people, he really knows what he is doing.

As much as I don't like how Six foot turkey made his statement, he does have a point. Although Speilberg did start the saga, it is not his brainchild. Speilberg gave the reigns to Johnston because he thought he would do a good job, and from what I've seen so far, he has. So to anybody who thinks that the only person who can make a good Jurassic Park film is Speilberg, you are badly deluted.
