Jurassic Park made obscure dinosaurs like Velociraptor and Dilophosaurus household names. The newfound fame attracted marketers to the dinosaur money train, inspiring new basketball teams (the Toronto Raptors), and useless spin-off products such as the Meanie Babies' "Velocicrapper". Dan said, "The question is...do we want our children playing with wounds?" I have an answer.
In the toy line of JP and TLW and JPD, some of the dinosaurs had Dino-Damage wounds (as we already well know) like the Triceratops and the Young T-Rex (the medium size T-Rex) for example. Do you think that kids weren't poking around the wounds when those came out? Probably Hasbro wanted to add some spiff to the wounds, so they did.
