The truck Grant gets out of in JP3 belongs to Jack Horner, dinosaur consultant for all three JP movies. A quick shot of the logo on the door reads, "Montana State University Dept. of Paleontology" and "Museum of the Rockies", the name of Horner's museum in Bozeman, MT.

It is after. The whole TLW point was Malcolm was the only oen to talk about it. And there are no dinos on Nublar. Watch and lsiten to TLW, and ignroe the dinos.

Has anyone figured out for sure if this is before tlw or after?? because, if it is before there will me a major plot discrepency because in tlw we learn that malcolm was ridiculed for claiming the existence of the dinosaurs, and even lost his job -- and in jp3 grant is giving a lecture on it? let's hope jp3 is after...

Averybody don't start making up story lines for a JP4. Remember it was all a joke.

Of course it is Sorna. It makes sense because people don't know about Nublar since at the end of TLW they sent the dinos back to Sorna.
Also, there have better not be any dinos on the mainland this time around because it totally ruined the Lost World and made me HATE Spielberg.
I think that Idiotberg's mistake from TLW (since now everyone knows about dinos) can be cleaned up if they blow up Sorna at the end of JP3 so that everyone will think that all the dinos are dead BUT there will still be dinos at Nublar. Then everything will be cool and top secret again for JP4

if it's like in the costa rican jungle, on the mainland, it's okay

Well, despite 100 hundred differnet and legit confirmations fo Spino being in the logo, amny moons late,r two people psoted howw e were wrong, ti cna't be Spino in the logo. And the major absis was that afetr JP, nobody was allowed toa ddartistic licensing tot he dinos, so what we see must ebr eal. Sheesh.
It's Sorna. Get over it, or give up JP.
Hopefulyl, dinso will hit the mainalnd, like tha rumor sad before. As for other human scenes, I'm not sure how amny survived. Already, Sattler's been redused back to a cameo it seems. But unless a greta many (species wise) dinsoa r eliberated, expect no spinosaur pretening she's T-rex. It's just too stupid, and I doubt spielberg would approve it. Better be Raptor's this tiem. Nice, smart, door openign Raptors who kill their victims once inside.
Since it's been 8 years, I doubt the Pteranodons will suddenly decide to flee the island.

if they were going for a "godzilla"-esque thing which im sure they're not, (not that there's anything wrong with godzilla! well, the japanese godzilla anyway ours sucks ass! anyway), they would do the t-rex/spino fight on the mainland. might be cool, but not in this movie. it won't happen i know, but just a thought. dont count out pteranadons on the mainland though, they can probably fly away from the island ya' know (in fact everyone i know has asked me that!)!

I don't want a mainland scene like at the end of TLW, but something like the end of the JP book with raptors would be cool. Also, Pteranodons can fly, making it easy to migrate.

When will people come to their senses. Its on Sorna. Done, finished, fineto, debate over. No more need for me, Utahraptor and Tango to explain why the dino's are dead. Again.

But I wish he had just said that the film would at least be over 100 minutes. He doesn't have to accurate. It'd be nice if he could dispell a couple of these worrying rumours.

At 3:53:26 PM on 3/25/2001, Compyraptor said:
I reckon it's on Sorna even though I used to think it was on Nublar. I said that just in case some people (I'm not naming anyone, Tango) reckon I'm one of those people who still reckon it's on Nublar.

How the hell can people still not believe that it's Sorna!!!

Man I wish Johnston hadn't mentioned "mainland locations," because now everyone is going to think that dinos are on the mainland. Joe just meant what Oviraptor already said; there will be mainland shots of course, but no dinosaurs.

And looks like i was right. Regardless that the obvious has been confirmed by the director, some people still aren't confident that its on Sorna. Sheesh.

Yeah like the places I said.

Don't worry, you'll probably wont see any dinos on the mainland. The multiple mainland places are where the characters have dialogue before they actually go to the island. Like when Grant was digging in Montana. Or the Malcolm & Hammond conversation in his room. You know what im talking about

cont from below
1)if before TLW then it cant take place on mainland(dinos in cities that is) or else in TLW people would already know about the dinos.
2) after TLW people would know about the dinos there fore there would be massive security aroundthe island/cities.

if this takes place on sorna then what was all that stuff about a secret breeding site(or something on nubler) a few weeks ago, bullshit???i dont think so!

also when did this movie take place.....

maybe it has to do with the raptors on the mainland like in tlw novel. u know, where they burn the raptor? as long as there isnt a spino in the city ending sequence... i hope they are real small scenes of dinos in the city if there are some

It doesn't mean there's dinosaurs on the mainland,

1. There's Ellie's house (no idea where it is)

2. Grant's dig site (it's in Montana somewhere)

3. The Bar and Grill place (it's in Montana somewhere)

4. The junk yard. (don't know where it is)

5. The Court hearing and Grant's lecture in Washington D.C.

6. Maybe a few more location and then isla Sorna

lol, well I still have suspicion, o well either way the movie will be good and about the mulitple mainland areas...I think that means like the beginning of the movie and the end it doesnt mean the dinos are gonna be attacking(hopefully).

At 1:03:43 PM on 3/25/2001, Creed said:
OH NO! The dinos better not be on the mainland or it's going to ruin the film like how the rex in san diego ruined tlw!

Well, confirmation is enough when the film's DIRECTOR says it's Sorna =o) Come on !!!

You're right Tango, it's called denial =o) Geez... Hey, please, let Mr. Johnston finish his work, he's been more close to us than Spielberg himself or other directors, cut him some slack.

Wow you keep a regular basis of communication with Joe, Dan? That's great.

Well regardless that the obvious has now been confirmed by the director himself, I know some people out there will still say its something impossible, like Nublar, a Site C, Nirvana, etc. Something like that.

multiple mainland places? I hope it means before they go to the island. You dont think they will have dinosaurus in the city do you?
