Steven Spielberg made the velociraptors in JP considerably larger than they were believe to be. However, during post-production, the Utahraptor was discovered, which fit the JP velociraptors dimensions perfectly. (From: 'Dean')

OK, we all know JP3's gonna rock, now. There's been so many confirmations. Dan, I have a serious suggestion. Obviously, there's hundreds of people out there waiting for the trailer, so why don't you just have a thing where people can sign up to recieve an email when the trailer is available for download! Take this seriously, Dan. Oh, and HA HA HA Robbert, very funny about the trailer on the official site, I was stupid enought to fall for it.

Aviary? That toally sounds like the earlier rumors of Grant et al. being chased through some "jail-like area" by raptors. I bet that "scream" is a raptor, and the cage is what we see later on in the USA Today pic. My guess; pterosaurs don't play much of a role, probably only in the paragliding scene. Evil, smart raptors cornering people in a cage in some creepy fort! Oh many, this is gonna ROCK!

Sounds like that cage thingie Spino was attacking. maybe it's the aviary. This movie sounds great. Upside down cliff hangings, paragliding, underwater, dino attacks left and right, the pterasaurs atatcking like the brids, wow.

Things are finally looking up. I am so relieved that only 4 writers were attached; that's not bad at all. I always knew the William Goldman rumor was a fake because Goldman has sworn off sequels and hates Spielberg... so the two writers of Election, Craig Rosenberg, and one other guy will be getting writing credit, likely. Of course they'll probably scrap one of those names... my guess is, Spielberg will not take story credit (he literally co-wrote and executive produced the first 2 but didn't ask for any credit except as director), and we will see a total of THREE WRITERS credited (anything more looks bad; they'll pay the fourth, less profile writer off with some good dough), in addition to the obligatory "based on characters created by" credit which will go to Michael Crichton himself. By the way... I wonder if Mr. Johnston can reveal whether Crichton had any input AT ALL or if he's a credited producer like he was supposed to be? Even if he did no real work on it, it would still help the film a little to see his name in the credits twice. We'll see.

There was an Aviary level when you play Grant or the raptor in JP: Rampage Edition on Sega Genesis (old school). Though the story in this game took place on Nublar, a continuance from the first game.

It actually doesn't matter what island the movie takes place on (Nublar\Sorna), It would be COOL to see an aviary in the movie.

The report says that they go into some kind of fortress..and Grant says it looks like a bird cage.

At 6:34:01 PM on 3/8/2001, Gallimimus said:
I'm sure the 'bird cages' they mention is not the aviary. I believe they are looking at the kind of raptor cages/boxes spotted near the studios some months back. The noise they hear is probably a raptor snarl.
