In the JP novel, the DNA sequence listed at one point actually translates to a section of chicken DNA, the words 'MARK WAS HERE', and 'NIH'. (From: 'Drakkenfyre')

I wonder how much bigger the spino is in relation to t-rex?

I wonder if their animatronic giant can swim. Or will the underwater spino scenes be done with computer generated graphics?

And I wonder when the JP3 trailer will be released?

    Okay, I'll stop wondering now.

Varan: All Hardosaurs could walk on their four legs. But they probably ran on their hind legs.

I guess there's only going to be one T-Rex in JP3, or at least just one animatronic one.

I find it funny that people think video games are a source for scientific accuracy.

Anyhow, I have heard scientists saying that Iguanadons, and Parasaurolophus might well have walked on all fours from time to time. But I havent heard of any other dino..

I agree I dont think it would be possible for a member of the Spinosaur family to walk on all fours. For once thing, the enlarged thumb claw on all members would hinder that ability. Second, the hands are probably built for grasping, as in fish or whatever.

I guess your right griblikk. But at least the Carnotaurs in the movie aren't bad. This and other disney movies always have something to do with love stories and shit thats why they suck.

As for the Spino, it probably is impossible to walk with all four. I played the Suchomimus in JP:Warpath on Playstation. He looks exactly like the Spino but w\o the sail and even has similar arms too. He walks on four when you move him. Just actually curious earlier about the all four leg thing Mallon and Oviraptor.

At 2:02:40 PM on 3/6/2001, Mallon said:
Again, _Spinosaurus_ could not walk using its forelimbs because they were not designed this way. The hands faced one another, as if the animal were praying. Try walking using your hands this way- next to impossible.

Well I doubt it could run fast on all fours, or at all. Its arms and hands aren't really made for it while an Iguanodon would be more equipped. As far as on two legs goes, I dunno, but it will be fun to see!

If John Rosengrant says the Spino can walk on all four, maybe that's why he can run faster than T-rex. I've seen Disney's Dinosaur and it shows Aladar the Iguanadon running with all four. What if the Spino can do that?

At 1:23:12 PM on 3/6/2001, Mallon said:
Oviraptor's right, here. No member of the spinosauridae could walk on all fours. Their hands couldn't flex properly to allow this pose.

Oviraptor: Where did you read that?

And where's Mallon when we need him :)

I think a red Spino would look quite good. Anyone agrees with me ?

Oviraptor: You ain't a paleontologist. Scientists *do* think that the dinosaurs from this family (Spinosaurus, Baryonyx) could walk on their four legs.
