Grant and Burke agree that the Raptor's "killer claw" was on the middle toe, when in fact many believe it was on the inside toe. (From: 'Tyrannotaur')

Believe it or not, guys, _Velociraptor_ really did have those sort of pinched nasal crests. That's two things Universal has done to try to correct their "raptors".

I thought the raptors were going to have feathered crests. I saw a picture of Grant from the movie and he was wearing totally different clothes to the figures of him. The Jp Grant looked just like him, jp3 Grant looks like no one, he just has regular features.

I meant some of you sound like you're between 8 and 12 years old. Unless most of you ARE between 8 to 12 years old. Getting so excited without any standards whatsoever. I'm open minded, but the figures and the vehicle look like they're from fisher-price. They also treat the designs like this is a whole new idea and not PART OF the Jurassic Park concept. They need to stay true to the originals rather than try to think up NEWER BETTER looks. Besides-like I said before, they look like animae (spelling?) characters and vehicles.

I think the toys look awesome! The SUV is very detailed. The motercycle rockes! And the raptor...man! The colors are so cool. But where's the feathered crest?

    Toys look cool, though.

Oh, yeah. Fences in the "Raptor Set" thing. Nublar stuff, people. Or, I could be very mistaken. :~`

I think you all (except maybe oviraptor) sound like a bunch of 8-12 year olds. Hasbro is terrible. Kenner was great until Hasbo took them over. That looks NOTHING Niel except a few general features. They used a Malcom repaint for the lost world (which looked like him asside from sun glasses) so why don't they use a JP series 2 repaint for Grant. Those figures looked a lot more like Niel than these do. Also-the JP toys weren't on steroids either!. They may have been a little more muscular, but they weren't HUGE. The SUV looks like left over idea from Chaos effect-which didn't even RESEMBLE reality. Looks like something from an Animae cartoon.
Bye the way-we can complain all we want. I collected Kenner figures since I was 5 (12 years ago.) And while I don't play with action figures anymore, I can see whether they look good or bad. Jurassic Park toys were GREAT. These look like they have no creativity or realism. Plus I'm sick of seeing huge "capture weapons" that look like they came from some futuristic space toy line. At least JP had real weapons or tools: net launcher, snare, tranq gun, etc. But what the heck is that thing Grant has? Or that thing on the side of the SUV? The dinosaurs so far look terrible as well. Look at that raptor grant has. It's mouth looks like it had a basketball shoved into it.

The SUV is huge, lol, and I am really hoping for Jurassic Park, and not Site B, after TLW, and Trespasser, I am ready for more of Isla Nublar, lol, and BTW, does anyone know if they ever released the "Fall colors" Explorer?, the one that was grey, yellow, and brown?, it was in the catalog, but I never saw it,

    -Drakk )))

At 10:38:18 AM on 2/10/2001, Tango said:
It looks pretty damn big. Big as the Trike Dozer from JPCE. In the quote about Grant returning to JP, do you think its for real? I was thinking that for the advertisement maybe saying Jurassic Park sounded morea appealing than Site B, especially since "Jurassic Park" is in the title of the movie. After all, an astonishing large amount of people who saw TLW didn't realize that they were on a second island. Lol. But who knows, thats just my speculation. If we go to JP then cool, but I just think for the continuity of the series, it only makes sense that we got to Site B. If we go to JP, it kinda looks weird that no reference of another dino island was made in TLW, except in the boardroom scene that ended up on the cutting room floor.

Well now that I look at it again, the legs might be a little different, but not much.

DaSchwingMan- Tapejara is a brilliantly different looking pterosaur from South America. It has a short beak and a tall, oval-like head crest sitting directly atop its skull. They are featured in BBC's Walking with Dinosaurs in the episode "Giant of the Skies."
