"Mar Del Plata", the boat in TLW, means "sea of the silver". It's also the name of a popular fishing city near Buenos Aries, with a population of about 500,000. (From: SeanArcher)

Simple. Speilberg hadn't directed in 4 years, and needed to get used to the water again. So he directed soemhtign fmailair, something he'd enjoy, and something few would get up in arms about when eh screws it up. Quite frankly, it's an insult he chose to do the sequel to the highets grosisng movie, and Unviersal's biggest franchise, as a way tog et used to thigns again, and refresh his memeory. he kenw he wa sout fo rpactice, he kenw he wouldn't be at his best,a nd he choses the sequel tot he ebst thing to ever happen as his tets project.

It won't be better than the first one in my oppinion. It COULD really make up for the last one. Maybe if it helps the last one to make sense, it'll be good. There was military in the first book, and it didn't suck. The second movie probably should have had them.
By the way, A lot of critics didn't even like Jurassic Park. There was a lot of cheap humor in it that kinda changed it's whole look. Like around every corner, there'd be some kind of wise crack. Ya know?
I think if the story MAKES SENSE and/or is believable, it'll be better than TLW, because TLW's story was bad. Full of holes and made around the ASSUMPTION everyone would know what was going on. PLUS....too much was at night.
It scares me a little to think it's going to be ALL action like they are talking. There has to be SOME story and character development.
The kid kinda sounds iffy too. Another kid to scream and get in the way? If it's going to work, they'd better spend the larger part of the movie trying to LOCATE him. In the first two, the kids were a big part of the story. Just along for the ride is what this kid should more or less be. That way he will BE the plot, but not be some essential figure in the movie. Not just another dumb kid to make you say "why the heck is there a KID with all these scientists? I don't even think you should even get to see him until they find him.
Personally, I probably trust Johnston more than Spielberg at this point (what with what Spielberg di to the last one)

Well, everyone filled the theatre rooms for the first JP it was the only movie like than, critics liked it, and it created us, the fans.It made 920M$

Everyone expected the hell of a movie outa TLW and everyone got disapointed.this one made over 600 M$

Now, everyone is expecting JP3 to be a total flop, and it's gonna be the same as for TLW.It's gonna be the opposite of what people thinks.

I would'nt be surprise if this one makes over a billion.I will maybe be even better than the original JP !

I agree with eggy. I'm not going to assume anything about JP3. I'll just wait for July and hope for the best.

Stop making pre-judged ideas on the movie before you've even seen it! All these idiots are saying that the movies going to be so horrible, that all it's going to be about is parasailing and is going to be worse than TLW and blah blah blah movie sucks so much ass blah blah blah...
Make all the judgements you want after seeing the movie but stop blowing the movie off until then!! You all know you're going to pay for the ticket...

Just cause the Military is involved doesn't make it a monster movie.

well, JP3 was already looking like a moster movie, and now the army involvment tops it off.

JP was a movie about dinosaurs, not monsters. TLW was not near as good because it tried the monster movie plot, and JP3 is going to suck even more.
