the velociraptor antirrhopus (a.k.a. deinonychus) should be sporting more feathers than just a head crest, if indeed the archeaopteryx (and quite assumably its predescessors) were fully feathered. it is a descendant of the animal that evolved into most of the theropods that flourished in the cretateous period. also, it doesn't matter whether the velociraptor had feathers, it wouldn't be hard for a genetic technician who was able to reconstruct the dna from ancient blood + frog dna to "turn off" the genes that supported feather growth. i wish i could read french, but i can only understand it spoken, so if anyone has a link to where the video is, i would be very grateful to an email reply. or if anyone cares to discuss avian/theropodian evolution more drop me a line.

forget about the giant o saurus its not in the movie

jp3 has to be a sequal theres no way something like a spino could have existed and not affected the first 2 movies, which makes me wonder how the spino came to be if the islands r abandoned. same with the new raptors. not even the ignorant public will believe that a head creast could evolve in a few years.

if they wanted to save the kid, why wouldn't they just send a chopper with some marines? how many people do u think will die trying to save this kid?
i think i see what they ment about weak plot.

There is this brand new one that they found but it doesn't have a name yet. It has a scissor-like snout. They compared it to a T-Rex by saying the if the new one was the size of a great dane, the t-rex would be the size of a kitten. But who knows?

It just becomes unhooked. Right. Me thinks Eric just wnated to see the dinos up close and eprsonal. So, Spino is a fish eater, yet still the biggets meat eater of all. How contradicting.
And why is the Raptor snout so much shorter and squarer? looks more like a Deinonychus now. And Spino seems pretty nice in attacking T-rex (merciful). Like it's sucker punching him, and trying to steal the spotlight form our poor lil guy. I think macy was trying to show how much more clawful Spino is. Leonie in dino dung? i hope she washes herself before doing anythign shrot if running.
Jack Horner is a carnivor quak. if he says they ahd head crests, there's nor eason to eblieve it. he's just abusing his position to force hsi theories ontot he world, and mess up the continuity. And we don't know for certain it's on Nublar. Most places say Sorna. Only one says Nubalr. making it most likely a mistake.

The new raptor with a "feathered crest" actually looks familiar. It reminds me of that raptor fighter Talon from that old game "PRIMAL RAGE." He had feathers on his head. Though I do kinda missed the older designed raptors from JP and TLW, still the raptors kick ass.

As for the Gigantosaurus, I watched "Beyond T-rex" on the Discovery Channel. At the end they revealed this gigantic reptile skeleton next to the T-rex's. The man measures both and states that Gigantosaurus is longer in length with a longer head but with smaller teeth. He is a bit taller than T-rex but the man says they are the same height. But when the man describes the Rex's jaws with bone-crushing teeth, he says the rex still claims the throne.

About the Spinosaurus, the makers of JP3 decided that this dino would be perfect rather than the Gigantosaurus because Spinosaurus was one of the best known carnivore in the late Creatacious (I think). The real spino was smaller than T-rex. Because the way he looks scary,(looking at the croc-shaped head) the creaters wanted to make him look bigger just to look scarier along with his head.

Don't you think Jack Horner would tell them to get rid of the quills, if they were so unaccurate, or they had a good reason for putting them there. Don't worry. And in each movie the eyes of the raptors change :)

Keep in mind this is on Nublar, and there must have been some kind of mutation these dinosaur undertook to come back to life...

I'm sure they'll explain the changes in JP3, or at least I hope so.

    1) Feathered Raptors are cool. There is a little bit of evidence that they actually might have had feathers.

    2) The Spinosaurus may indeed be bigger than the T Rex, but the rex probably weighs more.

    3) Macy is a good actor and is cool. The shooting of the movie is probably really stressful and unorganized. I'm sure the film will be fun to watch when its all finished.

They chould of shoosed the giganotosaurus who was 50 feet long. They did'nt eve found a complete gigano's skelleton, so it could be 70 feet long ! Would that be a great main dino !

I'm glad to here that we will see some Hadrosaurs in JP 3, and on the same subject, I hope we'll see some more Herbivore scenes, which I think was Lost World's problem: everything had to be exciting, mile-a-minute action! But I enjoyed all the Brachiosaur stuff in the first one, and hope to see this back. Maybe in that "Dinotopia" scene (I think that's only a shot or so though), but maybe with the kid alone on the island. He is after all a dinosaur fan.

The new coloring for the Velociraptor is the best ever. But I don't see any feathered crests, and I hope I never do! Not one of me or my friends would like to see that, and I don't think I could keep a strait face either.

I like what Alexander Nivola said, he mentioned that the Baryonyx would make an appearence, and he's my favorite. Plus, all the old Jurassic Park maps from the official souvenir magazine in 1993 said there was a Baryonyx pen.

    All sounds great though!

Well for a while i was defending Macy because I know the JP3 production has had its share of big problems, but given the fact that everyone else involved seems to be 10x more excited than he is to be working on it, I think it's official that Macy is the ass of the production. Did you watch Sam Neill? He's so funny because my god you have to admit it he is so bland!!! And his muddled speech... he's just hilarious. Trev Morgan didn't annoy me quite as much as I thought he would. Tea Leoni's still a babe but I hope she didn't actually wear that stupid pink shirt in the film... Alessandro Nivola was really cool... hope he has more screen time than Vince Vaughn had in TLW... 'Course it was a little discouraging that Nivola, Macy, Leoni, and Morgan all had the dino names down pat but not Neill!

YES there WAS a second showing of the Stan Winston interview last night! It was from a different angle. It starts out BEFORE the interviewer gets there and Stand says "ITS ALIIIIIVE!!" as the Raptor begins to move. Then the camera pulls in TIGHT on Stan the ENTIRE time. But every once inawhile, the raptor head would poke into view (mostly just its snout), but at times you could see its RED eye moving around, and THEN the VERY THIN feather crests sticking out from the back of the head. They are THIN, which is why you cant see them in the normal interview. I think the raptor actually looks pretty cool, aside from moving very realistically. I, just not sure how, or if, they'll explain these new changes. PLEASE just say its a different species.
