The "blood sucking lawyer" character in JP was actually a bad-ass in the novel, who survived a raptor attack bare handed. (From: Ed)

UGH! you can hardly seen the picture.. you just say that cause you don't like the Spinosaurus.. you're afraid it's gonna beat T-Rex ass (which it is.)

That spino, baby or not, model, maquette, whatever it is, it looks like shit. No way it'll beat the Rex. Screw the sail, that thing is goin' down!

the more blurrer shot you can sort of see the weaird coloring

Look at the face.It looks baby-ish like the baby T-Rex from TLW.

I will enhance the image but I think it's a a juvenile or a mannequin. For JP small versions of the T.rex were used as wel as life-size drawings.

    This is interesting...
Could be a model of the baby Spinosaurus, or one that was early in production. Because I hear from everyone that the sail has to be bigger. But, to the one who send this: Thank You! This is great stuff.

i think all will be revealed when we actually see the movie for our own eyes. i know what you meen about crushing a plane an all, and chrichton is an awesome writer and the best choice to write a jp movie, but i think we should just wait and see. besides, itll be an awesome scene anyway. i wanna see that dream sequence rumoured, bout that raptor sitting in front of grant on the plane!

At 2:25:12 AM on 1/8/2001, Utahraptor said:
I just don't see how that can posisble whup any big dino, even in full size. it msut tackle Junior. And how can that make an oragami hat outta the plane? They're seriously pushing our suspension of disbelief on this one. This movie shouldn't have been amde without Chricton on baord as awriter.

Man, you guys must be looking at a different picture, 'cause I thought that Spino looked like a weak piece of crap. It's god no meat on its bones!

i dont think theres any need to get annoyed over the size of the Spino's sail. its about right, remember its been scaled down. (i think thats the term im no good at maths)
pretending it was full sized, Compare it to a normal humn and the sails gonna be BIG.
if my info is correct, the spino leans forward quite a bit, so a man would come up to the top of its fore arms, yet its really much bigger than a man. its sail alone is taller.some were 2 meters tall remember. (anyone feel free to correct me ^_^)

The Spino looks pretty good, but it doesn't mean he's the
    new king

i think the sail should be a lil. bit taller...

It's clearly visible that it is a maquette and that it's on a table. Looks great to me!

At 6:11:09 PM on 1/7/2001, Mallon said:
In answer to Carter, pronation is a condition in which the hands are held with the palms facing downward. The hands of _Spinosaurus_ should be facing palms-in, like the animal is praying.

You can tell it's a model or something, as it's sitting on a table (I think)...

T-Rex is going down! enough said.. It's finally getting what it deserves!

At 1:40:59 PM on 1/7/2001, Hanns Peter said:
it is just a marquette. I think that it is used for the coloration of the bigger spinosaur parts, 'caus in the same room where the spinosaurus is some other people are colorating a big spinosaur sail

At 1:32:12 PM on 1/7/2001, Carter said:
In the webcast, Stan Winston said that for the T Rex, they begin by making a model of about 1 ft in lenght, then they make one of about six foot (like the one in the picture, they will then use that to make the full size, finished spino. That is simply a model of what we should expect to see.

At 1:30:09 PM on 1/7/2001, dinosniper said:
This shot was taken from far away, so obviously the spino looks small. But there is no way that cheap piece of shit is gonna beat the rex. What is that? That's nothing. The end sequence of JP3 is gonna be just like this. The Rex takes out a dinosaur that doesn't matter to the storyline at all, and that the audience has no emotional attachment to whatsoever. That's all. No way that thing is gonna beat the rex.

    At 1:24:04 PM on 1/7/2001, DH4! said:
The Spinosaurus only looks like the size of a raptor. What is going on here?

At 12:50:16 PM on 1/7/2001, Carter said:
Pronated, I have absolutely no idea what that means. But that Spino actually does look really good. The blue stripes kind of suit it don't you think.

At 12:16:04 PM on 1/7/2001, Mallon said:
So that's the long awaited _Spinosaurus_. It actually looks quite good! I just hope its hands aren't pronated.

At 12:10:27 PM on 1/7/2001, TrikeSerabian said:
Not a bad looking dino, but I don't see how it will beat T-Rex.
