Well, it looks like this settles the debate of who the new dinosaur was in the film.

Why bother his funeral, dude, Cher went to Sonny's funeral, ya know.

I don't buy her being in it. There is no need for her. If Hammond had a wife, why wasn't she there by his ailing side? And if divorced, why bother with his funeral?

maybe shes going to be in the movie to tell the story of when she didnt have to go to an island to see dinosaurs becuse they were still walking this earth hahah..ok that was lame really lame im sorry but she seems like a sweet old lady and i hope she has a part in jp3 that dosent involve her gettin killed

What is there not to buy? Hammond's wife or that she's a fine Aussie actor? I love America...been there twice...but we have our fair shareof great Aussie actors...Mel, Russel, Sam, Geoffrey Rush, the list goes on...and yes, i realise that not all of them are Australian or live in Australia. but that's where they got their big break.

You guys, Alethia McGrath is one of our own Australian actors. She was in a few Aussie soapies and played alongside Miranda Otto in 'Dead Letter Office'. From an Aussie's point of view, she is one of the greatest elderly actors known, in my opinion, up there with the late, great Jessica Tandy. But because there is supposedley no Hsmmond in this one, I speculate that Alethia is plaing his better half to represent him in this installment, because in TLW, remember how frail and ill he was.

Ya know, I bet her role is to announce hammonds death. That is if it's a sequel.

    Hey i bet its Hammond's Wife :)

Malcolm has a tad bit more taste than that... She's got to be related to the Hammond/ Ludlow family tree if she's actually in this, I mean why else would you cast an 80 year old woman in JP3? She certainly could be Hammond's wife... Hammond does have a ring in both JP and TLW.

At 4:41:27 PM on 11/30/2000, Tanystropheus said:
nah probably one of Malcolm's ex's.

At 4:28:34 PM on 11/30/2000, Tanystropheus said:
    Or Maybe she's Ludlow's mother.. Hammond's sister.

I bet she's Miles's Grammy, she'll be waving at the happy family beside the helicopter pad when they return safely from their adventure in the closing scene. or something "quiant" like that.

I'd say she's more than likely Hammond's wife.

Yeah, but it says she just finished filming. So how long has she been there filming? And Betty White was funny in Lake Placid.

As for her part she could be any of a number of characters, however we do not know the size of her role. I have a couple of ideas though, such as she could be a producer for the T.V. station that sends the team to film a documentary on the island or she could be a teacher/dean at the college where Grant makes his speech. I guess will just have to wait to find out.

She looks like a nice lady.

Hey, I bet she'll play Grant's new wife in JP3. Ha ha ha!

Regarding Betty White in Lake Placid...I was very bewildered to hear sweet Rose Nyland from the Golden Girls tell someone they could suck her dick...Which dones't make sense, but coming from her it was especially hilarious! Saint Olaf would be proud.

Don't bother feeding her to the dinosaurs, they wouldn't want her.
