For the "Tall Grass Scene" in TLW, Michael Lanteri's effects crew were responsible for planting and growing 8 acres of "elephant grass". The project was started a year in advance to make sure that the grass would be at sufficient height for the scene.

No matter how hard Universal tries, people are going to find a way in to the chat.

That is, unless, they post a secret password hidden inside the JP DVDs and ask you for it when you go to the website.

Even then, people will find out the password.

PS- I will try my best to tell those of us without DVD-Roms verbatim what happens with the JP3 web event.

Well, it's a good bet this will be a much bigger event than the Three Kings event, both because this is a far more popular property, and because when the Three Kings thing happened, the movie had already opened, while very little at all is known about JP3.

Well it says "A DVD industry first"

But, in reality, I dont see how they could limit it, unless they made you put in your DVD's serial number, along with some other things.

I have the DVDs, and I have the DVD port. And there is a button in the DVDs to link you to this website. The DVD sends you to the following URL:

    www.jurassicpark.com/feedback

    So you decide....

I think they're doing it to make people by the DVD Rom kits.

Thats true. But even if there were not a traffic jam, it still should be exclusive for the DVD-ROM owners becuase that is what was advertised.

I dunno, traffic jamming sites isn't that big of a problem anymore with todays servers. I doubt it'd draw millions of people anyway... I remember when I went to the Three Kings online event (which was for people who owned the DVD but they let everyone in) there was hardly anyone there....

It makes perfect sense actually, it limits traffic to it so it isn't jammed with visitors.

Plus, it was advertised as an Exclusive for the DVD-ROM owners. If it wasnt like this it would mean we (the DVD-ROM) owners were cheated.

But if it is a general public event, Ill be happy to becuase everyone will get to see it.

I think maybe DVDFile doesn't know for sure. I mean, it doesn't make sense to limit it.. it's free advertising for JP3, it'd be stupid not to let everyone in.
