It's been said that director Steven Spielberg only takes on films where the plot can be described in one sentence.

For one thing, Spinosaurus was a fish eater. No way you'd find it more than 100 yards from a river or lake. Besides, it was smaller than tyrannosaurus, and much more lightly-built. It was made for agility and quick reflexes, not strength, like the T. Rex. Besides, the plane scene would resemble the trailer scene from TLW too much. No way Spielberg would show the rolling over-and-over like that.

Just casue it's bigger doesn't mean it's stronger. Or able to crush palnes. It needs lots of weight to do that.

Jurassic Park 3 is gonna have way too many acion sequences, and JP isn't about just that.

Did they ever confirm it a Spinosaurus? (not to sound stupid)

There's still time, he could have a suprise cameo that not even Bob knows about.

I've done asked him if he'd confirm Hammond.. (and no answer..)

If Hammond isn't in the movie I hope we see Dodgson. We have to have someone from at least one of the rival companies.

So, Bob has a shooting script... will he please confirm whether we will see Hammond in this? I hope that wouldn't be asking too much.

Hey JurassicRaptor, the Spinosaurus is larger than the tyrannosaur. so to answer your question is the spino stronger , i would think so

    Mass = Force
The bigger you are the less strength you need to (in this case) flatten something

the Odesky's head thing and T-Rex and Spino fight was scrapped anyway so it surely won't be in the movie..

At 12:08:24 PM on 11/11/2000, Oviraptor said:
yeah only thing the Spinosaurus has to be is BIG not stronge... and they were tossed around in the trailers in TLW like socks in a dryer and it didn't look silly.. so it won't in the plane.

At 12:08:10 PM on 11/11/2000, TembogonnahuntUdown said:
I think that violent scenes like that won't be very frequent in these movies, considering the fact that they're all PG-13. So R-rated material, like the scene where the Spinosaur rips Odesky's head off, and the scene where the T-Rex eats the Spinosaur, won't be given too much detail. Think about it. The worst we saw in the original JP movie was a goat's leg and Samuel L. Jackson's arm. And in TLW, hardly any gore at all. So what's with the drastic change from the other movies to this one?

Spinosaurus doesnt have to be strong...Its huge. It could crush a plane, sure.

At 11:36:06 AM on 11/11/2000, Anklyosaurus said:
These scenes are some of the best in the film, the ones where the groups discover their is no way out unless they find one
Ex: Jp-when they find out the phines are dead
TLW-when the trailors and all the phones go over the cliff.
This scene sounds like it wil be one of the high action scenes of the movie. I cant wait to see it

At 11:26:47 AM on 11/11/2000, Carter said:
Right as usual Dan, even if the shooting script is old, most of what Bob's telling us would still be in the finished movie. Now about the scene, it should be cool as long as the part were they tumble around like socks in a drier doesn't look really stupid.

At 9:46:07 AM on 11/11/2000, Dan said:
Bob has a shooting script, so he knows the scenes in the movie by one-line descriptions. Now unless the shooting script is old and this scene was scrapped, we'll see this in the film..

    Here's what Dan didn't post

" The Spino steps on the fuselage, flattening it like paper. The group is almost crushed by the fuselage as the windows blow out. The plane is now useless and the group fights for their lives."

so no one is killed except Odesky it looks like..

well then that would mean everything we know is a big lie from Universal..

Guess Grant does die. Crushed to death.
Anyway, we don't know Bob has the correct info. He's basing it off of what he hears form variosu people. So eithe rit's true, or else everybody's lying to outsiders to fool us. If soemoen form Universal foudn thsi site, saw Bob posting here, then they could have decided to intentionally mislead him to give us a big surprise.

and Rake Bob isn't making this stuff up.. he's gotten us tons of pictures and there's no point of him making up all this plot info.. he does have a reputation to keep yah know..

Disregarding EW's speculation that it opens the film of course. I mean, isn't that a little early to start the whole thing? Maybe it starts off with Eric being stranded on the island, minus Grant and co.

At 2:04:02 AM on 11/11/2000, GoldblumRules said:
It seems to me this is the variation on the traditional "middle of the film" part of a JP film with a spectacular dinosaur attack on one of man's creations, except this time it's not a Rex or a Jeep or a trailer. Given the possibility that first in the film they go to Isla Sorna then to Isla Nublar, which is when this attack may take place, it is very possible this is the halfway point of the film.

You're missing the point Dan, you assume what he's TOLD is not made up, big difference between that and him telling everyone a bunch of BS he knows isn't true.

The fuselage is the body of the plane, btw.
