Well, I probably shouldn't have said impossible, since nothing's impossible. I should have said "really really really hard to do it and make it look good."

Waterfalls are not imposible to do as a CGI. What is this guy talking about. But it does look like they are doing that sene from the first book.

I know exactly what the waterfall could be used for. An amazing scene would be if Grant was in a raft going down the river as a Tyranosaurus Rex or Spinosaurus chases him. He is only paying attention to the dinosaur and in result the waterfall comes near. The raft then flies off but Grant can throw a rope with one of those big steel grips on the end and it can hook around a big rock. The raft then flies off of the waterfall and leaves Grant hanging on for his life.

    THAT WOULD BE COOL!

It would be cool but who knowes what it will be at his point in time. I do hope they use stuff from the JP book though . There are endless sceses from the book that weren't used. And the swimming rex scene from the jp novel is one of my favorites. There is a lot of unussed stuff from the lost world novel too, as we are all aware of.

Yyyyes. I want to see that waterfall scene sooooo badly. I think they should use as much stuff from the book as they can. They've still got a LOT 0of stuff they can use.

That's damn right, Dan. I see many possibilities there... your idea is great; I hope they are using that scene.

Looking at it, it looks more like a cliff. But who knoes what it will look like with water running over it, if it is going to be a waterfall.

Like in the JP book, I hope there will be river scenes. Casue there have been one.

It also looks to me like there's some sort of structure at the base of the mountain.. it's sorta whitish.. maybe the power plant from the river scene (with the waterfall) in JP- the book??

Maybe this is where the water dinosaur comes in.

Maybe they're using the scene from JP the book with the T. rex swimming. That was beautifully written, and would make a great movie scene. AND, if Spinosaurus aegyptiacus is in the movie, where would a fishing dino appear but in a water scene? This would make a colossal scene if they had the T. rex vs. S. aegyptiacus under a waterfall, fighting around the boat of humans.

not for the sake of argument, but getting enough water up there is possible with pumps and stuff, but now that I think about the situation a litle longer, I don't think theres going to be waterfall, the bottom of the cliff looks like a river bank running paralell to the cliff, maybe. There are a bunch of reasons why they needed a real wall instead of just animating it.

Hmm... this sounds like it could open up some serious scene possibilities. I hope they do it right and make it look cool.

How are they gonna get a river of water up to the top of that thing in the first place? And then run it over the side in a REALISTIC fashion?

Although water is the most difficult element to create on CG shots, I think since "The Perfect Storm" it is possible. Of course, real water always looks...well real:-)

The real thing is better. Would you rather see CGI dinosaurs or real dinosaurs? ;)

That makes sense. They can fill in the sides of the cliff with cgi stuff, interesting scene possibilities. . cool cool
