Any characters on the island(s) before this scene(with the exeption of neill,macy etc.) must have died along the way as otherwise they would be in the scene.

Ingen Compound = The entire series of structures around the Visitor Center, like the Raptor pen, the Bunker, etc. Lots of things around in the book, those are the only 2 I remember seeing in the film though.
