Ok, just think about this for a second. People go to an island with dinosaurs, and you expect it not to be bloody? What they tried to do with the Lost World (still an aweful movie) was add some realism. These dino's wouldn't chase and corner you in the jungle and sing "I Love You, You love Me" they would grab your ass and eat you whole or rip you apart. They need to keep the feeling of what these animals would do if they were real.

Also, im not so shure that this is going to be the greatest thing in the world with the raptor scenes. The best so far is Muldoon. That was the olny best scene where a dino waked someone. TLW was stupid, with just showing the tails flickering in the air! I also wana see the stupid rex run at top speed! It always shows it walking or slightly running.
Lets face it, the moive will probly not be all that we expect. There was great exitement when there news about TLW coming out, but not as mutch when people saw it. sequle trailers always look like the movie will be everything, but they never are.
About the fight, well I just don't want this to end up like gozilla!
The reason there will be a Spino here is because when nedry got the embryos, somthing might have survived. This is highly unlikely though, and we all know the reasons. I want to see real stuff in this one! Real hunting, real attacks(real as in good) Nothing will ever match up to the first one, though....
Definetly the best(the originall Jurassic Park book and movie) all the wonder, adventure, beuty and terror.

I'd just say that was it's main food... but that doesn't mean it wouldn't kill other dinosaurs for food.. and it would have to defend it's self if it was attacked by another dinosaur ( The Rex.) it just doesn't have to kill for food..

The Rex needs to be in JP3, not nearly as much as in TLW mind you, but it does need to figure into the story to make this click.

This is how it should be done: throughout the film, the Spinosaurus poses the most major threat to everyone on the island, it even kicks the Raptor's arses (don't even ask me why the heck this scavenger/ lite meat eater is suddenly eating everything else BUT fish), in the middle the Spino wounds the Rex and leaves, and then in the conclusion the Rex shows up and they get in a big huge fight, and the Rex reclaims Isla Nublar as her own, paying a nice loose homage to the first one. The movie you're thinking of is the Land That Time Forgot. There was a sequel to that called The People That Time Forgot. That's all of them to my knowledge.

I just heard the news, and I gotta say, I would've bet the ranch on a Sucho for JP3, but with the same liberties taken, a Spino makes just as much sence. It really isn't know for its tooth-filled aligator skull, or giant clawed fingers, but it did have them. Remeber, no complete fossil has ever been found, these parts were just discovored recently, which is wy they do not appear in many pictures. (Dan's picture is actually one of the best I've seen!)
As for the big fight, it looks like the winner gets the right to be on the logo, but that's exactly what most of us seem to think, not a lot of suspence here, so who knows!
Also, before you think "Titanic" when you hear James Horner...
I have complete faith that he would be able to write a fantastic score, more reminicent to William's JP than his score for TLW; go listen to "Mighty Joe Young" for god's sake!

It was bipedal(walked on two legs). It was 40-50 feet long and weighed 4 tons or more. It was the largest know Carnosaur(meat eating dino). It had large, non-serrated teeth. Its' arms were larger than most other theropods. At times, it may have gone on all fours.
They live during the late Cretaceous period in the tropics near sea level. At the same time, there was another sail-backed dino, the Ouranosaurus, a large bipedal plant eater.
They were most likely a cold blooded animal. They were scavengers, but could kill large sauropods. It had high intelligence.
It was named in 1915 from fossils found in Africa. No complete fossil has been found.

I always wanted a ferocious battle between the Rex and a big bad opponent... But I have trouble seeing the Spino win against it. Sure, the Spino is a little bigger, but he's not built for CRUNCHING and CRUSHING like the Rex is. Realistically the Rex would get whomped because of the quick reflexes of the Spino but would probably prevail in the end because of it's superior strength. And the raptor chase is a nice touch... kinda reminiscent of TLW novel.
