Yeah I'm holding my vote with George Lucas. Or maybe Michael Crichton or Richard Drayfus. Robin Williams is unlikely, but when I first read this the first name that came to head was Tom Hanks, but I don't know why...

It has to be Richard Dreyfuss. God knows he needs it after recent efforts like "The Crew." Plus Spielberg wanted Dreyfuss for the original JP (although it would've been too expensive).

I hope that it is Tom Hanks. He is an amazing actor with brilliant talent. Every movie this man signs onto ends up being a great one. I like Tom Hanks. He always plays really cool characters and he always manages to make the back story of the character believable. He is great and would go great with Sam Neil! (Even if it is only a cameo role.)

In Hook theres Robin Williams, and I think maybe Richard Dreyfuss, or who played Captain Hook in the film? Actually, I don't think that was him. Oh yeah, I was thinking of Close Encounters of the Third Kind on that one. So Richard Dreyfuss is in three of Speilbergs movies taht we can think of, if not more.

i think richard dreyfuss, he's a very close friend to spielberg, but not the most famous actor:-)

The ship is Amistad, Roy Shnieder, and I think it's someone who has worked on several films, not just one time. Sicne Spielberg's always cameoing in JP films, maybe it's secretly telling us it's him.

Well, lets think about it: what movies has he done, and who's starred in them? Here are all of them I can think of myself:

Saving Private Ryan - Tom Hanks, that dude that hangs out with Ben Afflack, anyone else?

Oddysey- Or something like that, the slave ship one. That brings Matthew Machonahey (lol @ that spelling job), and the guy that's in Gladiator, anyon else?

Jaws Trilogy - The dude from all 3, who's in Sequest to, don't know his name, though he seems like a pretty good candidate. Can add Richard Dreyfuss to, I guess. Anyone else?

Close Encounters of the Third Kind - Have no idea who's in this one, never saw it.

E.T. - I can't think of a single famous person in this film...

The Color Purple - Whoopi Goldberg, Laurence Fishburne (is he in it?), Oprah Winfrey, etc.

Always - Richard Dreyfuss (again, hmmmm), the girl, John Goodman, etc.

Hook - Never saw it, no idea who's in it.

Schindler's List - Never saw it, no idea who's in it.

Anyway, my vote goes out to 2 people: Richard Dreyfuss (the mold scientists are made from), and the Jaws guy (total hunter image). Thoughts?
