grant sucks!!!!
he was good in the book but not soo in the film. Malcolm isnt in the film (jp3) but grant is so i have to live with that but lets ppray he is dead(he isnt in the ltw as at the beginning of the film in hammonds house when ludlow is filling out the form he says so) but still...what happened to grant?????

That's why I don't think Malcolm should make ANY appearance in JP3. I think Grant's and Malclom's experiences with the Islands should be totally seperate after Jurassic Park. It's not as COINCIDENTAL that way.

Really-it wouldn't have worked with-out Grant. Actually-in my earlier idea-Grant died. It wouldn't be that bad as long as he doesn't just get run over by a stampede or stepped on by a rex. It could be heroic. Although...I think that might be a little typical. I mean-if it's a prequel-just to say-Grant dies-that's why he's not in the Lost World is not as affective as -he's not dead, he's alive, but we're just focusing on another character now (Malcolm). And people won't be saying " hey I wonder what happened to the other characters" This way they get to see what happens to more than one character involved in the first story and not have them all involved in the same story, but not in the classic cheesy "they just all happened to get involved in this sequel". Each will have their own story SEPERATE from the others'. It'll be more like a spin-off. A movie with Grant's experiences with the park and a movie with Malcolm's. Not just "they HAPPENED to throw together" I think that'll help distinguish it from the classic sequel stariotype.
As for him getting killed-if you read the book-he doesn't strike me as the kind of character that was writen to be killed (heroicly or not heroicly). Something has to happen to him, though. Good or Bad.

I think he needs an entirely independent reason for going there. Something despite all he must have heard about it in the news. I think since Grant isn't so opposed to kids now, Grant is probably Miles' mentor and when Grant leaves-somehow he follows him...that'd kinda be a repeat of TLW, though.

JP3 is a prequel.. and the mysterious deaths are the fisherman that they guy in TLW that told Ian and the others about.. and why he wouldn't stay near the shore for to long.. and maybe Hammond has nothing to do with Grant going down.. what do you guys think?
I don't think they'd say mysterious deaths if it's a sequel to TLW.. because they'd know it'd be dinosaurs killing the people wouldn't they? so I say it's a prequel to TLW.
