    Author Michael Crichton did not think the Ian Malcolm character would become as popular as he did in the JP movie, so killed him off in the first novel. Asked to explain how he magically came back to life in the second book, Crichton said he Ian was only "slightly dead." (From: Dan J.)

    Interesting. A whole new production company for JP, a whole new story.

    Hell, I say reboot the system, per say, and re-do the entire series.

    JP 1 Genesis: The problems facing them up until the incident at Isla Nublar.

    JP2: The Book JP1, movie version follows the book to a T or at least extremely better.

    JP3: The Lost World Book version on screen, down to a T. Or much better.
