Jurassic Park's promotion included a series of six cups available at McDonald's, each featuring a different series. For The Lost World, Burger King issued a set of four TLW themed watches, each of which could be picked up for 1.99 with the additional purchase of a Burger King Kid's Club meal. Well, only the Raptors and Diloscould do that, and they're all gone, and so are the buildings.

I hope Jurassic Park 3 takes place in Jurassic Park. It would be cool to see how the buildings would look now. There would alot more places for dinosaurs to hide. Think about it dinosaurs killing and eating people in dark corridors. That would be cool and kind of scary. Dinosaurs jumping out of dark hallways and dark corners. Cool huh.

thats a good idea, but wouldnt a chopper make more sense than a jet for a rescue situation like that?

Perhaps Paul's military buddy scrambles jets to search for Miles on the dino island.

uh parasaur sorry to burst your bubble but the military does more than just bomb stuff.. you idiot. and the airfield could be for helicopters... the military attache guy might be seen leaving the base.. it doesn't actually mean they're gonna be bombing anything.

The round thingie look kinda like bouys (or however it's spelled) Maybe the cage can float free on it's own. Boat sinks, people in cage float away.. Could be explosives if the boat blows up. Could be stand in thingies for a large dino.. probably just floating markers for the tow-line for the boat. Kind of the shape of theater lights, might be a waterproof version. I jsut checked the pic again, it appears the black cord thingy leads to them, they're probably floating tow-line markers. Could be used like the tennis balls in the original movie for something chasing them down the river scene. So either the cage detaches and floats and is dragged by the boat, or maybe even goes under water, or they are just trolling them behind the boat and using them for reference of some sort.

i also think nublar will be bombed, y else would they use an air field for filming. and dont say for choppers, cause they've never shown anything but the choppers in the air

The dinos were never the bad guys. If Dodgson, ro soem another comapny, is taking dinos, they'd never know about he Raptors. Real sized Rapotrs won't exist unless juvinile. Looks like there's an attempt at dinos in the city again. Maybe it'll sink, and the Raptor will escape to Utah. Or maybe Mils will d an Arby in cage thing,b tut he Raptors killt eh captian, and Paul has to rescue him from a baot ,load of Raptors. Before it htis the waterfall.

u know what that cage reminds me of? it reminds me of the cage that came w/ 1 of the action fig, to be precise, the 1 who had the baby brach, the guy with the harpoon launcher i think it was.

I read it.. it says it's built on the boat.. so i dunno.. i guess it's attached.. and also what are those things inside the cage those black round things?

At 1:43:50 AM on 8/26/2000, Oviraptor said:
I believe thats what they said I'm not 100% sure though.. check out the hawaiimoviepage thats where I think i read it was.. maybe not.

Attached? You sure? Damn, so much for my u-monster cage theory. But hey, it wouldn't be bad if it were like JAWS. JAWS was a damn good movie (not the sequels, they sucked). Makes me wonder what the u-monster will be. My guess would be a pleisiosaur or mosasaur of some sort. Can't be sure until there's a press release or some pics of it though.

Oh, another thing. Maybe the cage will be used for pterosaurs?

At 1:32:03 AM on 8/26/2000, Oviraptor said:
well if it's Dodgsons but.. which it could be.. he doesn't know much about the raptors.. if anything. But if not it could be like a shark cage.. but I kinda like the Raptor Boat idea better.. it'll get to much like jaws or something.. with a shark cage. and they also said the cage is attached to the boat didn't they?

At 1:13:39 AM on 8/26/2000, Cyberraptor said:
In real life, it could probably hold a velociraptor. Remember that Hollywood gave the raptors "growth hormones" so a raptor based on scientific fact could probably fit in that cage. Although, now that i think about it, I doubt it is a raptor pen.

The shark cage idea is an interesting one, though. Remember the "underwater monster" supposed to be in JP3? This is pure speculation, but what if the boat has something to do with hunting the u-monster. A qoute from JAWS comes to mind...

What bothers me about this being a raptor cage aside from it's size, is the lock system. The JP folks knew from day one that raptors could open regular locks, that's why there is the complex system for feeding and all. This cage just has a simple looking side door. Not very safe, and very weak looking bars. Remeber how mangled the ones on the cage of the first movie were? Whoever is putting a raptor in this cage is a dead man...

Some might not care much, but some of the best scenery in movie history has been seen in the JP movies. They are filming alot of scenes for JP3 on Oahu and Kauai, so this movie will most likely look beautiful.

I think that Dodgson undoubtably deserves to be in this movie, but I'll have to agree that he probably won't. A true tragedy. (wait, what!?) I think an interesting, but improbable, plotline would involve reports of many new dinos (i.e. the imfamouse logosaur) that Ingen did not create, upon further investigation it is discovored that a rival genetics company is using Ingen's "resources" to create their own "Lost World", and exploit it. Therefore if anything went wrong, Ingen would get the blame, again.
This could provide some exellent "coverup" scenes as in TLW novel, and an original "stranded" situation for the cast as hostages. But hey, I'm no screenwriter.
I also hope JP3 focuses on the rights of extinct animals, (ya know, inbetween the many violent and graphic attacks) I enjoyed that aspect of the books, but it has BARELY been discusses in the films; as well as further explotation of genetic engineering. I think if Hammond appears in the movie, he should do so while walking "Fluffy", his minature elephant. (It would certainly give the 'ol "flea circus" a new twist!)
Yikes! I thinks I've gotten too carried away discussing sci-fi again, but while I'm at it...
As for the whole raptor cage thing, the guy at the Hawaiian site certainly seem well informed about the making of the boat, so I'm sure that it will be used w/ raptors. However, the movie crew would naturally want to stay descrete about things like this, so I'm also sure that we are not getting the whole story here....

COOL!!!!!!! I hope it's Dodgson's boat too!!!!!! JP3 is going to rock. I hope dodgson trys to take dinosaurs off the island like Ludlow did, then again it might be better to see something new. It might be a boat that was used to transport the Velociraptors from site B to the park. By the way what happened to the Dilophasaurus? I want to see them back in JP3. They were cool. Any way its going to be cool.

That boat's cage doesn't look large enough to hold a full grown adult raptor... is it a baby raptor? :)

If the boat sank with the raptor in the cage, how could the raptor survive?

On the hawaiimovietour.com page it says that an actor will stand on the bridge of the boat while the remote-controller person controls it (so the actor doesn't have to drive the boat himself).

    What do you guys think?

non JP fans don't need to know who Dodgson is... it's just a movie.. new characters are in there.. so why not Dodgson. he'd be kinda new.

nah I'd say the cage is for raptor's or some kinda dinosaur not for people..

Yeah-neat. Although I think everyone should stop and think. Do you really think Dodgson will be in this film? HIGHLY unlikely I think. I mean think about it. Every Jurassic Park FAN know's who Dogeson is becuase they've read the books. But do you know how insignificantly small his role was in the film. They never even said his first name. In the film he was just the guy who gave the can to Nedry. No one else would know who it was. Maybe recognize the name but, not really catch the significance. They didn't even say the name of the company. In the Jurassic Park FILM world-Biosyn doesn't even exist yet. Nedry just said "18 minites and your company catches up on ten years of research. So-to just say HEY-there's ANOTHER company trying to exploit these animals sounds.....you know. I think Dodgson is probably out. Besidses-I don't think Spielburg or whoever makes the call would go for switching roles. Unless they can find that Cameron Thor-an extra-more or less-who might not even be able to act in an entire film. I don't think he was ever intended to have a big role in the films. Besides-Spielburg is going to probably going to stay as far away from the lost world book plotline as he can. He said himself-he didn't find it that interesting. Besides-ANOTHER film dealing with espionage? - probably spelled that wrong- and stealing something again? You don't have to have a bad guy to have a film. That's what the dinos are for. I think it looks like more of what I thought would be cool a couple weeks ago except with Site B rather than Nublar. They go to the Island and see a bunch of stuff that was left out of the last two films. Like the Aviary. And water sequences.I still want to see a watefall scene with a boat. And stuff from the books. A sleeping Rex maybe. REALLY exploring the buildings. A lab like in the book. (BIG-Not the communications center). Left out stuff ya know? I think that would make for a cool movie.

It doesn't look like a raptor pen.. more like a shark-cage.. you know, as in to keep the sharks out and people in. The boy is on the island, how does he get there? Boat of course! Possibly a tour on one of the rivers, people know the dino's exist now, remember? What does a boat headed for an extrmely dangerous area need? A cage to put humans in for safe keeping! Raptors kill the captain, boy and mumsy dearest nearly drown as boat sinks, get stuck on island, father comes to save boy.. why not?

How do they know its a raptor cage. In the first movie the cage was huge, it took four men to move it. A raptor would tear right through that flimsy thing. I think its bull shit.

I wonder if the boat will sink in the beginning. It also proves there will be raptors in this movie.
