It's almost certain that until the end of this decade this movie will be released. In 2013 there will be the 20th Jurassic Park anniversary, so it will probably hit theaters once again with a marketing campaign similar to ET's in 2002. I guess until around 2008/2009 we're gonna see the fourth JP. At least it's very likely to.

I know I'm in the minority here...but as long as it gets back to a JP/TLW root, and stays away from JP3's formula, I'm all for it.

Otherwise, put a toe tag on this franchise.

I have been reading this site for a while now. I am excited about the *idea* of a fourth movie. However, I'm beginning to wonder if that's what it's becoming: just an *idea*. I agree with ya'll in that it better be absolutely amazing, because the people that I have told about the possibility of JP4 have just groaned and said, "Another one?"

At the earliest this movie's probably going to be released summer 2009. It definitely irritates me that Frank Marshall seems so dismissive towards the project. It seems as if the project could begin production tomorrow, but Frank keeps procrastinating and pushing for Bourne Ultimatum, which is something I really don't get. I understand that the Bourne series has been succesful, but the Jurassic Park franchise is box-office gold. They're guaranteed to make at least $100,000,000 on Jurassic Park IV. Besides, the Bourne Supremacy was a head-ache inducing nightmare. Every shot was shaky, and it seemed like no shot lasted longer than 2 seconds. I felt like I was going to have a seizure from watching it. If they bring back the same director that helmed Bourne Supremacy then I definitely won't be seeing Bourne Ultimatum.

Anyways, Spielberg needs to give this film to another producer. Frank is Spielberg's pal so of course, he's going to let Frank sit on this, instead of seeking out a producer with a free schedule. Which is just dumb, to me.

He did TLW to get back into directing having took 4 years or so off. It's like he didn't even care if he didn't so such a hot job like normal.

He did the Indiana Jones sequels too didn't he?

But I agree though, he won't do JPIV sadly enough.

So do I, but I know he won't. Spielberg never does sequels...I am still suprised he did TLW.

What's the hurry? Why not wait until 2010?

This one better have a real ending. You don't put all those military men on the island and not engage the dinos. There are rules people!

I'm not tired of it, i'm annoyed but i'm not tired, i'm just happy that a JP IV is happening, and they at least seem to care about it, they definetly aren't rushing with things, which is great since we don't need another JP3.

Though I do agree with everyone else, when this movies released, I expect to give it a 8/10 or higher.

Anyone notice how all this news is only coming from Frank Marshall? I'm thinking if there was any official news to report about, it would come from at least a few other sources as well.

A new JP needs time. TLW and JPIII could ride on the back of the last movie, but JPIII although a sucsess, wasn't all that great- and wasn't a huge smash like the other two pictures. Releasing JPIV too soon would result in a lack of interest- waiting a bit can generate some hype when it is finally released.

Yeah, I'm getting incredibly tired of this. They really haven't given us any new news in a long time...they just have been saying the same exact thing in several different ways.
