i think if JP4 were to be launched this year or next year it wouldnt make success because people are a little ANNOYED by dinossaur movies (a sound of thunder) but a 2008 date seems perfect to release a new JP with everything we ever dreamed of and maybe it could reach a 200 million domestic gross or even surpass the lost worlds 229.000.000,00

From what I saw, Bourne Ultimatum is the first to come out. Then they will either be continuing with or finishing up the production of Indiana Jones 4. Finally, Jurassic Park 4 will be the next on the list. Again, from what was said, we will see the three movies in theaters within the next three years (I kind of find it hard to believe, but thay's what they said).

It's the Bourne Ultimatum...and yes, they all have scripts, but they aren't final scripts (with the exception of Bourne).
JP4 I highly doubt we will be seeing any time soon...Indy 4 though I think might get started here soon. I hope so, anyway.

I'm sure you have probably seen this, but I just saw on one of those news shorts they have on Encore that Jurassic Park IV, Indiana Jones IV, and the Bourne Supremacy II all currently have scripts and will all be in theaters within three years.

Hahaha maybe...or they just feel they both were extremely lucky and don't want to risk that luck running out.

By the way, in the books, Malcom dies in JP from his injuries, and in TLW (he is still alive, somehow) he gets injured again to the point they have to keep him on morphine the rest of the book.

At 10:41:40 AM on 2/4/2006, mrprongs said:
Well, considering they twice survived rampaging dinos (Malcolm injured, so, that's 1.5 times), they'd naturally get a I can't be killed by dinos vibe going. It's like running with bulls or swimming with sharks to them. That could be a plot. Adrenaline junkies hit the island for some rush fun. That'd be a different plot.

    At 12:36:41 AM on 2/4/2006, raptor2000 said:
    Exactly...that's my point.

Malcom went the second time out of desperation and fear for his girlfriends life...which is understandable I suppose, and had every intention of leaving as soon as he found her.

Grant thought they were just going to fly over the island in the plane, which, when pinched for money, seemed a pretty reasonable risk for the pay they were supposed to be getting.

Now, however, they both have hopefully learned their lessons.

i dont get why malcom and grant keep going to the island when they know that they will probably get killed.

We don't know that for sure, yet.

But they're not going to be on an island this time.

    >>how the heck can they have returning characters, are'nt they getting older?<<

Not to mention that they (especially Grant and Malcom) should know better by now than to go to those islands, regardless of how "safe" it may be.

I say they should take their time, if it means a decent sequel will happen. But you all know my opinion, after JP3 I really don't think they should do another one.

Perhaps if enough time passes, they can do the whole thing right (again).

At least we know that Jurassic Park IV's happening, which is great from that recent article on comingsoon.net, I think we'll get it around 2008.

Alot of the same crew worked on T3. Stan Winston even worked on it. It was pretty much just a different screenwriter and director.

And who gives a shit if the movie wasn't like the book? If you want the book storyline, read the god damn book. It was a great book but would have made a real shitty movie, pacing-wise.

Are you serious? Did you read the same TLW novel that I did? I like some of Michael Chrichton's work, but TLW was just plain lazy. It is nothing but a rehash of the original, and Chrichton probably only spent 2 months writing it. Personally, I'm glad that David Koepp wrote the screenplay because he took some risks with the material. I would have been disappointed if the film had been a complete adaptation of the book.

It was ridiculous, and strayed too far from the storyline of the book (which was good).

Jaab, no I didn't mean the cast when I said the crew, but yeah Arnold returned, and there was a cameo by the criminal psychologist who had been in both of the previous Terminator movies (I think his name was Dr. Soberman) but those were the only returning cast members...although the character of John Connor returned as well but he was played by a different actor.

Or don't you mean the cast when you say crew?

And by the way, Terminator 3 was made with an entirely different crew than Terminator 2...I actually liked T3 but still...JP3 was made with just a partially different crew than JP1 and TLW and you can obviously see what happened there.

Fine by me...I don't want another action flick like JP3 was or another TLW...and I definately don't want to see that script we saw previously.

I don't like how they keep evading the question though...they obviously are not currently making the movie and don't have any plans to do so any time soon so they might as well just say so.

I am ok with this. I love JP as much as any of you, but I would rather them take there time and produce the best possible film. This wouldn't be the first time a sequel took this long to come out. Heck, it was 12 years between Terminator 2 and Terminator 3. I am willing to wait.
