I know there has been a European release recently. Not this exact version (that version looked alot cooler) but I know they got a new version recently (though if it is the same as the first release, I have no idea).
As for the rest of the world, I don't know.

It would be disgrassful if anyone on this website doesn't own these already. Personally I won't rebuy these movies until we get a Blu-Ray release. Since Universal doesn't support Blu-Ray I should get plenty of time with my current DVDs.

Don't worry, Universal is all about money. For example? With Jaws, they released a 25th anniversary edition, which was nice. Then, this year they made the 30th anniversary edition. The first disk is exactly the same...menues and all, but they added a second disk with a few extra things on. I imagine there will prolly be a 40th anniversary edition too.

Once JP4 gets going, I would bet money there will be another "collectors ultimate deluxe special edition" DVD set of the JP trilogy released.

That sucks, cause we didn't get the Trilogy box ever.

I really want the box with the SE's and the bonus disk.

    Fecking Universal.

Doubt you'll get the 4th if we don't.

Lovely box, but it's the same DVD's, minus the bonus. Making it very very pointless. And I doubt there's enough newbies to truly justicefy the expense.

    Hey!

I was one of those who did not own the JP trilogy in DVD... until yesterday! =) I am so so happy with it! The box was released last wednesday, and I was really anxious to get it!Finally, I did it just yesterday! The design of the box is not very cool, and the JP3 dvd is exactly the same that I already got, but despite that I really enjoy the box =) however I was expecting something a little different for the extras of the first JP movie, like something about the impact of the movie or some more stuff about the story, instead of just focusing on the visual effects

So this will be released in Europe (The Netherlands) as well and we will get the 4th bonus disc?

    That is pretty gay.
It's just like that recent re-release of the Ghostbusters 1 & 2 DVD's. All the movies, exactly the same as in their original release, with even less bonus stuff than the original, just in a different package.
Granted, the low price is nice for someone who may not own any of the JP DVD's yet, but all this is is Universal trying to get fans to double dip before realizing they aren't getting anything new that they didn't have before. If you have the JP DVD's already, don't waste your money on these, because you aren't getting anything new. If you dont have them yet....the price is relatively low but best buy has the original releases of JP and TLW on DVD for like 5 bucks each or so, and JP3 is only a few bucks more, so if it were me I would just get the original releases. However, I already have all three so I have nothing to worry about.
