During early work on A.I., Spielberg reportedly considered JP's Joseph Mazzello (Tim) to play the lead role. However, by the time the movie got off the drawing board, Mazzello was no longer age-appropriate for the part. (From: jurassiraptor)

Why do you all care where Jimmy is? All he ever does when he's here is make us angry, and then we all bitch at hime instead of talking about and debating the news like we should be doing. I for one enjoy his absence.

As for Danny Devito....well he'd be better in this movie than that other guy they have cast but if he were to be eaten, he wouldnt make give a dinosaur a full stomach. He'd be more like the appetizer before the real meal. :-P
And I really hope that they dont recast Grant or any of the other original characters. If they cant have the original actors in it, they shouldnt use those characters at all. In my opinion, all the casting theyve done for JP, TLW, and even JP3 have been perfect. I mean the second 2 movies werent that good but the people they picked to play them were perfect for the role, however annoying or dumb the character may be. The only exception to that is Kelly....she was obnoxious....and according to the book, she was supposed to be white. O_o
Arby was the black kid (who wasnt even in the move).
Anywho, if they were recast any of the original characters it would ruin the movie even more. Dont get me wrong, I still really hope they have the original characters in JP4....I just hope they have the same actors who played them in the past continue to play them.

Spielberg: "What we're trying to do with this film is something completely different from the last three films. We've got the trained armored military dinos that're being led by Wolfram and Hart. And, well, the movie doesn't have a plot, per se. It's just sequential scenes of killing all those characters in the first three movies that, looking back, we now realize we really really should've. That's right- Vince Vaughn, I'm comin' for you!"

Bah they can cast whoever they want I dont care anymore....as long as the crappy ones are eaten and as long as they have at least one JP veteran (AKA someone from the first JP movie...preferably Grant...and Malcom too would be nice. And Hammond. And why not Ellie too. And Lex and Tim! They are adults now, so they can finally die. I would say have Kelly in so she could die but I really dont want to see her again...even to see her die cuz any screentime would be a waste) in it.

You know, I was just thinking I'd really like to read this script. The way Moriarty talks about it, it seems like the whole DinoSoldiers thing comes into play within the first third of the movie or so.... I can only imagine how fudged up this thing gets afterwards.

Also, last week I got to meet Napoleon Dynamite.... And that rocked.

I dunno about that. If a sequel is crappy I'd prefer it not be made. Like with Jaws for example...I wouldve prefered they hadnt made the 3rd and 4th....if not the 2nd as well. Duh we will all go see it, but personally I would like it if my $6.50 (or more if movie ticket prices go up between now and then) isnt wasted on something crappy. JP3 was borderline (that being the only JP movie I saw in theaters....the others I rented and then bought when they came out) but I still wouldnt say my ticket money for JP3 followed by the VHS purchase then later the DVD purchase was wasted....because while it wasnt as good as JP, I still enjoyed and didnt mind paying it. But like I said, that was borderline. If its worse than that....well, lets just say I'd much rather prefer it if the movie is worth the time and money it takes to watch.

    >movie, for those of you >that will hate the movie, >there are hundreds more >that will love it...

That's what they said about Giglio. Remember Giglio? Of course you don't. See?

Wasn't Carrot Top "rumored" to be in JP3? Or was that a parody page I saw?

    >Be more like M. Night >Shaymalan, and a movie and >then dont make a sequle, >move on to some thing >else.......

If they did that, we'd have far less movies, and far less SFX in them, from expense. Sequels exist because the first does so well, it's a no brainer that more will do comparatively well. Usually. That equlas money in the bank. SO bigger budgets are given out to the director, known to be good, and the actor can ask for large sums of money, because they're that good. And if some people prefer to aviod sequels, good for them. Spielberg was one, but he caved after JP's success. You think Shaymalan would resist if the same thing happened with one of his movies? And the storyline can continue?

And the dino army idia is worth shit. if they make #4, the franchise will feel like the movie The Day After Tommorrw, like its not going any where. it'll be be same thing, fans will know what to expect and hate it. They NEED NOT to MAKE THE fourth one!!! If they do i will lost some respect for the origonal 2 and those are movie classics. Be more like M. Night Shaymalan, and a movie and then dont make a sequle, move on to some thing else.......

"Oh, well, JPIV is gonna be crappy but i don't want to complain. Let Universal do what they want."

We complain and whine about the rubbish plot, that's what we do.

JP3 was horrible IMO, but thats me, no one forced me to see it, its a good popcorn flick, not a JP movie..The only thing good about it was the sfx

Without even knowing the script to JP4, your ready to bash it to bits..

Whats the point of bashing the possible actors for the film??? Just because D.B has a calm voice, does that make him a bad actor??
I mean, he's a better actor than the whole cast of JP3, with the exception of S.Neil

What if they cast Carrot Top, or Drew Carey, instead of D.B??? Then we have to heard all that complaining

Stop being babies and give it half a chance, nothing is confermed

    >>A few new rumors about JP3 have surfaced: The next Jurassic Park movie will be entitled "Jurassic Park: Icefall", and the people in charge are already on their third draft of the screenplay.<<

We KNEW that there were raptors on the boat at the end of TLW who had gotten the bridge crew and that would be a lead in to JP3. Imagine what we will KNOW next.

Well now I see how this movie's supposed to set up for JP5:

Nick and three of his surviving dino-soldiers are standing in a dark alley after killing off the dino-mob and are anxiously awaiting retaliation. Sure enough wave among wave of armored dinos (of DOOM!) make their way down the alley toward Nick and pals.

    Hector: "The plan?"
    Nick: "We fight."
    Achilles: "Anything more specific?"
Nick: "Well personally, I kinda wanna slay the Spino."

The armored DINOS OF DOOOOOOM charge down the alley toward Nick and Dino-pals.

    Nick: "Let's go to work."

    (Cut to black)
