Anybody can take up Chaos Theory. Especially sicne you know Maclolm talked about it with the dinos. And again with the San Diego Incident. And as an independant film, it's safe to say it ventures away from eveyrhtign Crichton originally envisioned.
    Dinos hunting is needed.

Thats stupid! Malcome has to reaturn! JP3 woud suk wthout him. I woud not at all bother if there is no malcome. Yes the dinos need to hunt insted of attac! the scaryest part in Jurassic park(not that this scars me or any of you)was when Muldoon got it! The raptors were hunting him.

As long as it has Jeff Goldblum, and the animals actually hunt and not sluaghter every thing in sight than I will be fit as a fiddle and ready to fly.

Yeah, good, no Malcolm... no Chaos Theory, no real backbone to the plot... Yeah, great, stray totally way from Crichton's original vision of JP... Yeah that's really great.

Goody. More Mainland action. Lots of dinos. No Malcolm (Well, cameo is fine.) Now, as for the rumors, it was never said it'd be on Isla Nublar in anyhtign confirmed. It's just fan speculation that old JP sets being painted old imply retrun to old JP island. A sofr island/mainalnd plot: Biosyn probably developed thier own dinos, on the mainland but was forced to keep it under wraps afetr the Sna Diego Incident. Naturally, 4 years later, something goes awry, and they all escape. The military is used to contain them (can't kill, you knwo Hammondgot them ont he endangered Species list.) Maybe they're brought to the island, or maybe Grant goes to get some dinos to use as mating bait to contain them.
Maybe as JP was being destroyed (hence the old buildings), Biosyn stole eggs/embryos. And rasied dinos on the mainland. Then coems the rest of my above plot. Perhaps when dinso appear, Grant heads to Site B to se eif they've soemhow escaped. That'd give several island shots, and lots of filming time. Heck, like that fake script, amybe Grant hits JP to make sure the dinos are all gone, or find evidence of the dino napping.

Yes the compys and the raptors got on the ships in the book. Thats why at the end the raptors wer on the beach to migrate becaus the ship was coming. They senced it. I liked the book Jurassic park better than the movies and TLW novl. It was scary. I think that they shoud have had the things shown on the mainland at the end(not to leav a sequle of cours.)And at the begining have the girl get bitten by the Procompsognathus in the beginning. This is all for the first movie for wat they shoud have don.

At 1:16:10 AM on 8/9/2000, Pol said:
Oviraptor, if I remember correctly the raptors and compys in the first novel got to the mainland by stowing away on supply ships. No one noticed that any dinosaurs were missing, because they were breeding and thus Ingen had extras that went unnoticed. Remember Grant rushing back to the visitors center to tell them he saw baby raptors leaving on the boat?

I don't wanna see Jurassic Park being destroyed so no.. leave that part out.

Hopefully the military base will have a hand in destroying Jurassic Park in the end (just like the jp novel) and lead up to the Lost World. Hey, it could happen, there are eyewitnesses on Hawaii that say there is a structure being built..a huge dome of glass and steel. Sounds like the aviary in the book, right?

dude, oviraptor, godzilla could hide from the military!!! And i dont think they would ruin another jp movie by puttin it on the mainland

They aren't gonna let any dinosaurs live if they are causing destruction.. I don't care if they are protected.

At 10:04:32 PM on 8/8/2000, Loric said:
Umm, doesn't the general public know they exist now because of the incident in TLW? Do you really think the public would forget all about that? You'd have new age hippies and PETA-freaks insisting you can't kill them now and that they should be protected. Which would probably result in a public park, no? Just a thought.. plus there's always the quote from the movie Contact about "Why build one when you can build two at twice the price?" I think there's another park somewhere.. (most likely jsut the veggie-saurs) the Orlando location can be used to film that aspect of it, showing the care of the animals and all, how much you wanna bet me that Grant is the one working at the park? And that they go and ask him for help with some problem somewhere else..

At 9:52:30 PM on 8/8/2000, Oviraptor said:
Ummm couldn't the military handle dinosaurs?.. I mean they took down Godzilla and he was HUGE!!!!!!!!!!! but it might be hard for them to find the smaller dinosaurs since they could hide.

I think the reason that Jeff Goldblum isn't going to be in it because they got Sam Neil to come back!

One thing that makes this bogus... the dinosaurs could never make it to the mainland by swimming there.. it's to far to swim.( yeah they did in the book , but that was only the compys wasn't?) or did the raptor's do it also? and little dinosaurs can get a float something.. and float on it to the mainland.

    At 6:47:03 PM on 8/8/2000, Varan101 said:
Oh and the military base thing makes PERFECT sense. Remember one of the characters in JP3 is a military character, so they are probably showing some of his background at the base in which he is stationed.

Its fake people! This is WAY too much like the old rumors. Dinos on mainland, Kathleen Turner, and even Goldblum not returning is an old rumor.

Of course, the Hunters and Gatherers didn't help any either.

I can't take it anymore. First it is the mainland, then it is Site C, then it ends up (portions at least) being on Isla Nublar and now back to the God forbidden mainland idea. Don't they realize that alone destroyed TLW?

    Greetings all,
I just spotted this story on filmforce's (far inferior) JP3 page, and had to post it. They claim that Johnson and crew are looking for a military base, among other things we already knew. And hey Dan! They even gave you a mention, you studious proprietor you.

I thought it was kinda interesting that the magazine uses the phase "rumours of Kathleen Turner joining him refuse to go away", which is almost exactly the same phrase I used on a news bite here a few weeks back about the Turner rumor. Should I sue? ;)

DX, what the heck are you talking about? Filming for three weeks is to take place on freaking Kauai. And when it says "mainland" they are not talking about where it's shooting, they're talking about where the action is taking place.

At 3:07:13 PM on 8/8/2000, DX said:
Mainland: Have you ever heard of a sound stage. Much of the JP, and the TLW was shot on sound stages. In fact 3 of the largest sound stages on the Universal lot are being prepared for JP3.

At 2:07:44 PM on 8/8/2000, GoldblumRules said:
Neo-Maze, no opening scene takes three weeks for anyone to film. They spent three days on Kauai for The Lost World, and ONE of those days encompassed the filming of the opening scene. See the point?

I would trust US magazines more than foreign ones, I've seen much CRAP on German and French TV (they pic up rumors found on the net and present them on TV as facts!!, a French teletext services even reported earlier this year that Spielberg is directing JP///, just a day later every French teletext had that on their pages) as well as magazines. I don't want to say European reports like this UK one are false (hey, I live in Europe), but this subject reminds me of some crap I saw on many places. Have any other of you found some crazy articles around the world?

At 1:48:58 PM on 8/8/2000, Oviraptor said:
yeah but JP3 taking place mostly on the mainland means only one thing JP3 is going to suck worse than TLW did..

    At 1:46:17 PM on 8/8/2000, Neo_Maze said:
Only because they film some scenes on Kauai does not mean the entire film will take place there.

I bet it is just an opening sequence. However, JP filming was also done at the Mojave desert, and JP did not only take place there... see the point?

At 1:44:25 PM on 8/8/2000, Oviraptor said:
whats up with these foreign magazines getting news before the US ones anyway??? I mean it's being filmed in the US..

At 1:35:46 PM on 8/8/2000, Oviraptor said:
yeah it's bullshit... plain and simple.

At 1:33:25 PM on 8/8/2000, GoldblumRules said:
Is this BS or what? Everything else we have heard about JP3 supports that it takes place on a Costa Rican island, not on the mainland. Why shoot three weeks in Kauai if most of the action is set on the mainland? Surprising to me that the budget is still $83 million, especially considering all the rewrites that have been done, Sam Neill's supposed price tag, and Kathleen Turner's potential role in the film. I hope this is bogus. I want Jeff G back, Chaos Rules! I want CHAOS back in JP! (no more whiney Malcolm aka TLW)

At 1:31:28 PM on 8/8/2000, Oviraptor said:
only way I see the mainland part working is if it's all in Costa Rica.. but I'd rather it be on Isla Nublar.. if it all takes place in a city in the US it'd gonna suck...
