Good Job! You got my approval! Welcome to this site Pol. JP Animal Control over and out!

Okay, first of all Animal Control, Quetzalcoatlus Northropi is not a dinosaur but a Pterosaur that lived in the late Cretaceous on what is now known as Texas. It's wing span has been estimated between 35 and 40 feet and should have weighed in at 150 pounds. It's fossil remains were first official described in 1975, and it was named after the Aztec feathered serpent god Quetzlcoatl. And, as far as I can see, it also happens to be the animal gliding about at the bottom of the JP3 logo. ...hey, you asked.

Pol it sounds like you know alot about dinosaurs! Here is trivia questions for you: What is a Quetzalcoatlus? What period did it live in? How much did it weigh? How long was it? Everybody this question is for Pol and only Pol! credits of Quetzalcoatlus go to TS146. Hey TS146 did I pass? TS146 you can e-mail any time! I would like if you e-mailed me. Personally I would like to see the new series show some aquatic creatures from the Silurian and Devonian periods, Eurypterids and Dinichthys and all. (then again I guess that would be "Swimming with Prehistoric Life" wouldn't it?)

The reason the writing is not that good is because it was his first book! The only part I thought was absolutly stupid is how he killed the shark! JP Animal Control over and out!

Uh-oh. I knew it. Sorry, that is just my opinion. I loved watching dinosaurs interact with each other in a real environment (well, as real as they could get it). First of all, let me say I loved JP the novel. Read it long before the movie came out and it has always topped my list. The reason was Crichton created real living, breathing dinos. I never had that sense in the movies, the dinos were little more than monsters. As for MEG, yes I read it, and I perfectly HATED it. Writing at sub-elementary school level, a shark that wracks up an unbelievably high body count and characters thinner than the paper the book was printed on. But that is only my opinion. If you like MEG, Alten has a sequel out entitled THE TRENCH. Now in paperback I think.

Hey Mess how about this! MEG, BY STEVE ALTEN, BUY IT TODAY AT A BOOKSTORE NEAR YOU! Sorry but I just had to say that. From where the sun now stands I will talk of this book no more. Forever! BUT maybe I will talk of it again if the sun rises tomorrow! JP Animal Control over and out!

Walking with Dinosaurs was cool but its not as cool as Jurassic Park and the Lost World, I think most other people who comment on this site would agree with me on this. Not to say Walking with Dinosaurs sucks but its not as good as jp and tlw. I want to see the sequal to walking with dinos.

This time yesterday I was watching Jurassic Park on BBC 1 and I never thought to look on Teletext to see if there was any dino-realted news. Please forgive me.

Pardon WJW? Did I read that properly? You say that 'Walking' is better than both JP movies combined? Yes, I am going to rip you for that - into lots of little teeny bits :)

JP animal control, you'll do anything to get a plug of that book in.

wjw, Jurassic Park and The Lost World ROCK!! wjw I saw you were talking about the biggest shark of all, Megalodon ( correct spelling). Did you ever read the book Meg? It is by steve Alten ( I think that is his name). It is about the Megalodon living in the Marina Trench and how it suffaced. It is going to be a movie in a couple of years but I suggest you read the book. Belive me it is a great book! JP Aniaml Control over and out!

At 8:28:43 PM on 7/30/2000, Raptor said:
Well wjw, you can hardly compare Jurassic park and The Lost World with a nature series! They are completely different one being a documentary and the other an action/adventure film!

That does sound like fun! But I doubt we will see this anytime soon; apparently the same company which gave us "Walking" has goined forces w/ Jim Henson Productions ("Animal Farm") and is now working on a "Dinotopia" Mini-Series for 2002, I beleive... Read for yourself @ www.dinotopia.com. I heard about this a while ago and my pants are still wet.
Also, while I personally can't agree w/ wjw, "Walking" WAS certainly better than "Disney's Dinosaur"; Undoubtably...

I'm in the UK and after the BBC showed Jurassic Park today there was an advert for a new series called Living With Dinosaurs which starts on Wednesday. The description sounded the same as the one you've given.

Sounds like a fantastic idea to me! I can't wait! But I do hope that they make another Walking with Dinosaurs as well.

Yes! Walking with Dinosaurs was better than both Jurassic parks films combined (I'm going to get ripped for that one). I think the decision to focus on other prehistoric animals is a wise one. Dinosaur were cool, but paleontology has many other interesting animals. Some non-dinosaurian animals I would like to see: the "terror birds" of South America, saber-tooth tigers and mammoths, Australian prehistoric animals like the Marsupial "lion," giant kangaroos, carnivourus kangaroos, and a giant monitor lizard, or the biggest shark of all, Meglodon (spelled wrong). What about everyone else?
