I really hope that they re-release JP. Whether it has the deleted scenes or not, I would still be there on the first day.

Maybe they should release all three films on D-VHS for 2003. Universal did annouce support for the new format and I would love to watch Jurassic Park films in High Definition at home.

Great. The two deleted scenes should be added:

Scene of Ellie Sattler reaching out for the leaf of a prehistoric plant while in the JP jeep heading for the Brachiosaurus.

    And:

The short deleted scene of the T.rex entering the visitor center.

Damn you fuckin retarded editors for taking out those scenes.

I would be first in line to see JP if it was re-released in the cinema. Special Edition or no Special Edition, it just doesn't matter. This is JURASSIC PARK we're talking about !!! :)

dilophasaurs had the head crests yes but not that frill you can do your research. To see a real dilophasaurs see When Dinosaurs Roamed America. That is how they realy were and thats how they should have been in Jurassic Park. I would love to see them fixed for a special edition.

The effects don't need to be upgraded they just need alot more. I would like to add a scene that shows the raptors killing the bull. Add feathers to the raptors. Instead of no shows the charactors will see several dinos walking behind the cages in there tour before the rex attack. (just like the book). Remove the dilophasaurs frill (which they didn't have). Best thing they can do is illiminate vison based on movement.

    At 12:57:40 PM on 8/16/2002, raptor2000 said:
for example, they could upgrade some of the special effects that didnt come out as well as they may have planned (i dont know of any, they all look fine to me but who knows) and they could add possibly a few more dino action scenes, or at least some deleted scenes, but once again the Ellie pickin a leaf scene added in is not gonna cut it

Id go see it if #1 it was on a digital projecter and #2 had some deleted scenes, like some that were in the book yet not in the movie. If its not on digital projecter then the quality is actually worse than it is on your DVD, and Ive seen JP so many times, its a great movie but we need more lol, and that one deleted scene where Ellie picks the leaf isnt going to cut it

I could name several things that need to be improved. Look at how much better the Star Wars special edition triology is to the original versions. Add several other effects shots all over the place. Jurassic Park also has several scientfic errors that a specail edition could fix. Still they have enough new movies coming out in 2003 then to waste my money on a movie I have seen 100 times is stupid. I would definutly go to see a special edition that would rock.

Good point, Eller, ten years is a little early for a re-release. But I still stand behind a non-special edition re-release. If something can't be improved, let it be. Oh yeh, more movies for my list of movies that need to be seen in theaters: EVERY horror movie ever. Even the crap ones like Friday the 13th to Jason in Space. Slasher flicks are great to see in theaters cos the audience reaction is what really makes them fun.

10 years seems quick for a theatrical return. I'm thinking more along the lines of 20 years, 2013, a la The Star Wars Trilogy.

However, I would fully support a 10 year DVD.

I want JP4 news, dammit. They need to come out with something!

    At 11:33:43 PM on 8/15/2002, PorterM7Z said:
Special edition? Can you imagine what that would be like?

Grant: (cocking walkie talkie) Just the two raptors, you sure the third one's trapped?

Nope, no special edition Jurassic Park. The movie's perfect the way it is. And yes I'd go see it if it was re-released as is. Screw that I'll just watch my dvd crap. DVD can't compare to the silver screen. There are some movies that NEED to be seen in a theater to be experienced properly: Jurassic Park, Indiana Jones, Star Wars, Titan AE, Trainspotting, This Is Spinal Tap.... Okay, those last two were personal opinion but it's true. Movies are better in a theater, special edition or not. I paid $6.75 to see ET in a theater on my birthday. Sure I have it on video so I could've stayed home and watched it alone, but Jimmy, the whole point of movies is to EXPERIENCE them. And a theater's the best way to do that.

If they rereleased it in theater non-special edition I wouldn't see it. I would just watch my DVD and see some new movie in theaters.

Hells yes it will! How often do you get a chance to see it projected onto a gigantic screen in a real theater?

If they do rerelease it, it must be a special edition with new scenes and added effects otherwise it won't be worth seeing in theater.
