It was always pretty damn ovious that raptors had feathers. Just look at there skeletal structure and it screams bird. The fact that they have feathers should have been commen sense. The movie with the most accurate raptors is When Dinosaurs Roamed America. Not only did they have feathers but also had a more birdlike movement then in any other movie.

Excuse a moi but in the book it took 7 hours for the t-rex to feel a tranquilizer that could knock out a herd of elephants in seconds so a gun wont really do much.

Jimmy u claim to no so much yet did u no paleontologists discovered the had feathers AFTER the movie was released and a reason that distracts me from this when wathcing JP is that the frog DNA is still circulating in the blood, therefor their bodies havent been able to shake off the frogginess of itself and grow feathers. IN jp3 however the DNA of a frog had disappeared and allowed feathers to prgress yet in JP2 it was still there.

A few bullets would take it down.

no.a handgun would do nothing. u should try shooting a T-rex with a handgun

At 4:17:17 PM on 7/5/2002, Jimmy 345 said:
Of course one bullet from an elephant gun would kill it right away. Even a regular gun would stop it dead in its tracks it would take a couple regular bullets to kill the thing.

an elephant gun could take out the biggest spino or rex in a second

    SHUT UP JIMMY!

no dinosaur is "unstoppable" if you read the book you would know they can use a tranq to take out the rex.

The probability exists that T-rex might have been able to trot. The possibility that it would make it up to 25 mph very often is not likely. The animal it far too large to be risking its neck by running. This glorified, noble olimpian view of T-rex is, to say the least-and this is in my eyes guys, a bit dated. It is an animal discovered and branded a slow lumbering creature that could hunt and kill with extreme efficiency, then eventually not so lumbering but warm blooded but still a killer. Now we see it as a vicious seven ton killer that galloped after anything in sight with a lust for blood. That makes good movies, but thats about it.

    That's my schpeel for now.

It would make it scientificaly accurate.

uh...it's unplausable to go back just so they can put feathers on the raptors. it would be a waste of time and money.

because they would look wierd u dumb truck!!

At 9:56:01 PM on 6/14/2002, Jimmy 345 said:
If you guys know that they had feathers then why don't you think that we should have scientificaly accurating film. Dumb

    At 7:22:13 PM on 6/14/2002, mega-rex said:
T-rex was pretty fast in actuality.i would say 25 mph.raptors probably had feathers but they probably were not covered entirely with them.In jp3 the characters were out in the jungle so they could hide easily from the spino.
    Jimmy is gay

If you want to talk about weaknesses, T-rex was slow. It is a fact. It couldn't do half the things it did in Jurassic Park. It was purely a fantasy character.
And in reality, raptors were covered in feathers. Velociraptor was found with feathers, so the raptors are fantasy characters, and thier actually deinonychus anyway.

Personally, I think it would be kind of cool if they put feathers on the deinonych's.
So, yep, anyways, guys...thats my schpeel for today. Later

Star wars works different. THey took out just fx shots and replaced them with cgi fx shots.

In JP, adding feathers to the dinosaurs would be totally out of the question when it comes to cgi. I mean, adding them onto existing things in the movie would be near impossible. Not worth it. I dont' want my JP raptors to have feathers. I like the primal reptily frightness you get from them.

At 6:39:29 PM on 6/13/2002, Raptor Strike said:
uh i know that raptors had feathers you dumbass.

At 6:22:15 PM on 6/13/2002, Jimmy 345 said:
Because raptors have feathers duh. If you ever studied paleontology you would know this. A fossial of a dromeasaur was found with long downy feathers over it. They didn't have to give the rex a weakness. They didn't give spinosaurs a weakness and Jurassic Park 3 was fine. They should have made t-rex like spinosaur. Like an unstoppable fright train that the charactors escape by dumb luck. Also some added shots of dinosaurs added in some scenes. Kind of like what they did to the Star Wars trilogy I doubt it will happen though unfortutuly.

At 5:52:07 PM on 6/13/2002, Raptor Strike said:
Uh they had to give the Rex a weakness or the main charcters would have died. Get over it. And why would they go back to put feathers on the Raptors?

At 3:48:04 PM on 6/13/2002, Jimmy 345 said:
If they do make a Jurassic Park Special edition I would like them to add feathers to the raptors and delete everything involving vision based on movement. Words can't describe how much I hate the t-rex vision based on movement idea. Also I think a few added CGI shots would make it from good to awsome.
