Jimmy, that just shows what kind of taste you have in movies. If you think JP3 was better than LOTR than you really have no idea what you are talking about. And you need to learn that there is more to movies than just action.
PS: The actin in JP3 sucked big compared to LOTR.

Peter Jackson has spent that last 7 years of his life to create this epic movie and I think you should show a little respect for his effort. The Lord of the Rings is epic in all sense and it is beyond a doubt the best movie of the year.

LOTR was well made but just too depressing for my liking. And it was murderously long and very tedious in parts.
I liked it, and acknowlege it's a damn fine piece of film-making, just not really my type of thing.

The reason it is so popular right now is because it is the most recent movie before the Awards shows start (producers always wait until right before awards shows to release their movies so they are fresh on everyone's mind, whereas earlier movies are forgotten about), and because it is the "cool thing" to like it.
