Jimmy, that just shows what kind of taste you have in movies. If you think JP3 was better than LOTR than you really have no idea what you are talking about. And you need to learn that there is more to movies than just action.

PS: The actin in JP3 sucked big compared to LOTR.

I don't critizie it because I don't understand it. It was long and tedious. After the first 2.5 hours I felt my legs hurt. I wasn't of action it was just long boring charactor moments. My favorite charactor died. Lord of the Rings had good special effects nothing else.

Those of you that have criticized LOTR in this board are complete idiots and I REALLY mean that...your too caught up in your little "Jurassic Park World" to realize that YES THERE ARE BETTER MOVIES. Especially when compared to JP3.

Peter Jackson has spent that last 7 years of his life to create this epic movie and I think you should show a little respect for his effort. The Lord of the Rings is epic in all sense and it is beyond a doubt the best movie of the year.

The reason you criticize it is cause you don't UNDERSTAND the movie...plain and simple

Yeah, LOTR did deserve best picture. It was a well-done film.
But I still like Jurassic Park 3 WAY better. ;)
LOTR was well made but just too depressing for my liking. And it was murderously long and very tedious in parts.
I liked it, and acknowlege it's a damn fine piece of film-making, just not really my type of thing.

yup LOTR deserved it's awards at the BAFTA's ... JP3 didn't cut it at all in my books!

LOTR much more deserved it, however dont u think they may have been just a teeny bit prejudice cuz Sam Neill is the only British/English person in JP/// and ALL of the LOTR cast is British/English? LOTR did deserve the award much more, however I dont think JP/// got a very fair chance.

Yeah, what is the orange audience award? Anyway, what film you think was best depends on your opinions and interests. I like sci-fis, and in my opinion, I thought JP3, Evolution, and some other movies were overlooked for awards this year. Good point, jurassiraptor, about the "popular" movies, even though I didn't see LOTR.

That was the most jackass comment I have ever heard in my entire life. LOTR WAS the best movie of the year. It was WAY better than JP3. If you dont think so, your a dumbass, and I pray to God that you never become a movie critic.

LOTR sucks. It is especially NOT a quote-unquote "Academy Award"-type movie. The reason it is so popular right now is because it is the most recent movie before the Awards shows start (producers always wait until right before awards shows to release their movies so they are fresh on everyone's mind, whereas earlier movies are forgotten about), and because it is the "cool thing" to like it.

I can't stand Kilboring. He always sounds like he had too much fruit juice and brownies before the show, *wink wink*. And could be replaced by John Stewart in a heartbeat... wait, that happened!

No, it's the Golden Globes that nobody watches. The BAFTA's got some great coverage, over here at least.
If you didn't watch it you should have, its far less tedious than the Oscars, and Steven Fry was a right laugh.

Peter Jackson was close to tears when he picked up his award for 'Best Director'.

It was disappointing that out of the ten movies nominated for this award.... JPIII came last! Even Cats and Dogs came ninth, and the Mummy Returns was fifth! oh well,...

I was pleased that LOTR won best film! It sucks that JP3 didn't win anything, but it didn't really earn it. I still hope it wins something at the oscars tho'
