Ah, it brings back sweet memories of that other dinosaur movie that was shown on Christmas Day, 1998...

The TV series I've seen is the "Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's The Lost World" on the SciFi channel. I think it's OK but don't you think it's weird how Dilophosaurus and Velociraptor keep popping up yet they didn't seem to exist until 1993?

Answering Jerm's question I think that it was the world trade center that blew up first (or something that looked like it) I mean heaps of skycrapers look like that.

ALSO I saw some of the Lost World's dinosaurs and if your thinking it would look like JPIII think again, because the dino's look faker than walking with dinosaurs

Wow! This is gonna be extremly random, but I have been meaning to ask this question for a while. Someone who owns the movie Independance Day or knows it well can answer this question. Isn't the World Trade Center one of the first buildings the aliens blow up? I have a strange feeling it is. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

P.S. I obviously don't mean to offend anyone with this question. I'm just very curious.

you are all thinking of the low budget canadian tv series (I believe it's canadian) "Sir Aurthur Conan Doyle's The Lost World." I recorded the pilot for that series a couple of years ago on TNT. It WAS very disappointing. Much of it was a rip-off from the Jurassic Park series and the acting was terrible. Plus-it had nothing to do with the book.
This will be the...sixth version of The Lost World (not including the sequel to the '92 version.
There was the 1925 silent version, the 60's version with all the lizards fixed up like dinosaurs, the 1992 version with its sequel, and one made, I believe, in '99 with Ptrick Bergin (I haven't seen that one, however. I have the rest of them on tape), and the 2000 version which was the pilot to the current TV show.
I would THINK if some company is willing to produce another one, they'll try to make it better than the others. Personally, I would like to see one that holds true to the book (even if there weren't any women in it-aside from Edward Malone's love interest, Gladys).
On another note-I didn't even know Peter Falk was still alive. Does anyone know if it will be on BBC America?

I have seen 4 episodes of the series.. coz it was filmed here in New Zealand, and personally, the series is a bit of a joke. It is full of lame, tacky lines, blonde woman in bikini's and the worse dinosaur effects you can imagine. But I guess they were on a tight budget
