I hate it when something occurs to me only after I post.
Anyway, do you suppose Universal will pack these things in with the Trilogy boxed set? I plan on buying the trilogy and I'd love to have one.
I checked out the web site and I guess the voice recognition seems fairly reliable even if my opinion is based on that one demo I heard. After all, sometimes I need a phone when one isn't nearby but not so much that I need a full fledged cell-phone with monthly fees. And besides, when these things are going to retail for 30 bucks apiece who wouldn't mind getting one for free!!!

Hmmmm... how convenient! I remember reading about this in an issue of Time. I really liked the idea but i hated the voice recognition feature. I mean after all it is hard to wreck a nice beach. I'd have preffereda number pad. Nonetheless very cool.

It's for someone who gets a small short term job, travelers who are cell phone less. It seems very usefull. They would also have tons of advantages, you could phone your house, leave the cell somewhere and have temorary remote microphone. Cool.

i think it's fully recycleable. Otherwise, it'd be pretty lame. Disposable cameras are just the same. I think the advantage of this is for people to have one just in case they need it for an emergency but don't want the full hastle of having a fully-set up cell phone.
