everybody stop fighting about something as lame as which is a better movie. I personally liked both JP3 and POTA, and it really isnt anyone elses business to be shutting people down for their taste in movies.

Hey, here an idea, harry potter summons prehistorc dinosaurs and puts them on an island, they escape, and harry must escape. And at the climatic end... Harry gets eatin by the rex! Hurray!

i dont appreciate Long Grass' remarks, *whistles* Smithers! release the hounds. Excellent.

Well I guess we all have different opinions of movies.
I still can't believe that a kids movie like Harry Potter could be making more money than classics such as the JP Trilogy.
(Some people say that HP movie is not as good as the novels so I guess that is something at least)

Well, because the 4th disc also has content from JP andTLW- it would be more like a 1 1/3 disc set if you even want to count that...

And I really can't help it if I'm the only one who enjoyed PotA! Sure it wasn't perfect, but neither is JP! Besides, when one of my favorite directiors 'reimagines' one of my favorite movies, with music by Danny Elfman and makeup by Rick Baker, it's hard for me NOT to like it!

So you kids can go ahead and kick PotA to the ground or cry when TLW record is eventually broken, I'll be perfectly happy watching my PotA DVDs for now...

JP3 is also being released as a 2 disc set if you count the special bouns disc included with the trilogy set.

And lots of movies have grossed more than POTA and are still in theaters: Atlantis, Shrek, Rush Hour 2, etc.

As for Potter, I can't wait until Friday to see it (I have my tickets already!), and if it beats TLW's record, I won't mind. I would have minded if a crap-ass movie like POTA would have beat any of JP's records.

Face it: compared to the original, POTA was a farce, a empty shell of Hollywood glitz that only existed to capitalize on the built-in hype of the old POTA franchise.

    Wow, this place is slipping...

Anyway, PotA will be released on DVD next Tuesday, Nov. 20th as a 2 disc set. Even people who were not impressed with the movie are raving about the DVD.
And at least I find it impressive that ANY movie could last that longand still be in theaters... After all, JP3 still has a month to hit the disc- and only one disc I may add ;)

And if competition w/ JP is reason enough for you to unconditionally hate a movie, DEFINATLEY watch out for Harry Potter. Huge buzz, massive following, AND the full AotC trailer; personally, I think the tourch TLW once held will be passed.

When does POTA come out on DVD? I know it was not nearly as good as the Jurassic Park trilogy (best three movies in existance) but it was pretty good. Don't get me wrong. I am definitly a major JP fan.

Why does every movie have to be a competitor to JP3?!! Come on people, let it go.

Hey Long_Grass, try making a post WITHOUT swearing. Wow, what an idea. Oh yeah, and why hang out here if this was such a bad movie?

One of the 176 theatres is just a few miles from my house, I have gone to see it about six times in the last month, only $1 each time. Also, it is free for me, I found a $10 bill on the ground.

Hey SpinoJP3, if Harry Potter wont make as much money as JP and TLW combined, doesn't that mean that it will make more than either one of those shitty movies by themselves? Stupid fuck.
