I wouldn't count on the dvd gettting released in the UK at the same time, you're looking at a 5/6 month window so Jan/Feb is more likely unless it's not part of the columbia deal to release universal titles. It probably won't have the DTS soundtrack either so it's R1 for me.

I thought the covers for JP and LW were cool.
The JP3 logo confuses me. When I first saw it I thought the main dino was gonna be baryonyx, but then it's the spino. Reason being is look at its hands. There is one huge claw on each hand. In the preview on the JP set, it showed the accurate logo but they never used it.

that DVD will rock! Personally I didn't like the DVD cases for JP or TLW

BTW, honestly, how mnay true JP fans aren't going to buy JP and TLW again because it's a consistent trilogy box set?

I see what you are all talking about. Personally, i don't care. I do agree they should've stuck to the original poster designs but they (unlike jp3) decided to have random metallic raptors and rexs. Fine. I don't think it's so much a problem of having them be all posters or having them be all metallic, but rather an issue of cinsistency. This cover art makes it inconsistent with those of the first two films. "That's okay, release them again" you say. Now doubt, universal will, for their upcoming Jurassic Park Trilogy" dvd box set. In the end, having been consistent would've made us only buy tghe upcoming jp3 dvd. They wouldn't have made a lot of money. having this new box, they'll probably recover the first two films. Which is exactly how marketing works. That is the issue.

I actually like the JP and TLW DVD covers. I think they are cool. I'm just saying they should change them to have 'em be just the logo to match the JP3 DVD for the box set.

    I want it now.

As far as I am concerned, the DVDs should have stuck to the original art. The JP and TLW covers they went with are lame.

I am not really worrying about the cover. I am just waiting for the movie to come out on DVD!

"They should have followed along with the original JP covers",

is it just me, or is no one else here old enuf to remember the original covers?, I mean original, not the DVD's, Jurassic Park's was black, with the Jurassic Park logo on it, Jurassic Park: The Lost World's was rock, with the Jurassic Park: The Lost World logo on it, both were the same as the posters, why does everyone love the DVD covers so much?,

They'll redo the covers for the JP and TLW DVDs to make em match JP3 in the trilogy set. And I don't have any JP DVDs yet. I held out so I could get the trilogy together. Now, my patience will pay off. :D Muhahahaha!

I cannot wait. They should have followed along with the original JP covers, like a spino head or something. Oh well. It will be better than the VCD.

I wish they had used the original covers for the DVD's, too, I did not like the covers they used for the DVD's,

if your worried about matching them i think that the other ones should have been plain like this one. this is cooler. just what jurassic park is. the logo. then pure black for jp, looks like weathered black concrete for tlw. and metallic for jp3. this looks so cool. i love the solid look. oh my god it's awesome.

I will say I wish it was slightly darker, to match the poster, but then again, it probably will be, this pic is probably not the final one, or just looks lighter in the pic,

I am glad this is the cover, I did not like the covers for the Jurassic Park and Jurassic Park: The Lost World DVD's, I do not care about "matching" them, I like this one, just like the poster, and while I didn't think about it, you mentioned the red background, m_piljp3, that would have been fine, too,

the dvd looks awesome, its the same design on the wallpaper that i have on my desktop. I would have prefered the redish background, but hey, this is fine. I'm going to buy it the first day it comes out.

Uncanny! I bought my DVD player at Costco's the very DAY the JP+TLW DVDs came out!

Anyway, I love the look. I mean, did you honestly expect Universal to change their entire campain for a little consistancy?!

I think the DVD will be released at the same time over here in the UK, becos the JP & TLW DVDs were released the same day as in america, and JPIII was released in the cinema on the same weekend so...
