"Bill Monahan's Jurassic Park" On 5/20/2012 at 8:08:29 PM, dieterstark started the thread:
Before "The Departed" even began casting Bill Monahan wrote wrote a script for Jurassic Park 4 that Steven Spielberg raved about. After the first draft, Monahan dropped out for bigger and better things and gave his draft over to Johhn Sayles, of "Alligator" and other B-Movie fame. Sayles turned the script into the dinosaurs with guns plotline that fans around the internet loathed, essentially sinking JPIV before it ever left port.
I know its never going to get made, but I would love to read the script Monahan wrote for JPIV. Just for fun, he's a talented writer and I wish we could have seen HIS take on Jurassic Park.

Either one of us could have done it in a month and made a blockbuster hit. I feel like certain writers they tap for these things are all tapped out of creativity and edge.
