Obviously, I can't thank Christopher Jayawardena enough. Thanks!

A certain Agitated Compy wanted to add some more info from the LW Scrapbook:

"dandoug" spotted some Lost World Coloring Books ("some with raptors on them and some with T-Rex's") at his local K-Mart.

Well, it looks like even the U.S. government is trying to profit off of the JP2 Frenzy, announcing yesterday the release of the "World of Dinosaur" US Postal stamps collection coming to a post office near you on May 1st. (thanks to "KBubsy2256")

30 Days 'til The Lost World!!!!

Coincidentally, I am also happy to report that yesterday this page celebrated it's 50,000th hit! Thanks to everyone: contributors, readers, etc.... who made this all possible!

Max Szoc has received some interesting info from Dreamworks about their upcoming PC Game, Trespasser: Jurassic Park:

Max also reports that there are rumors that the game may ship as late as January 1998.

Okay, this is a strange one: A recent article on the "Christian Answers.net" website basically calls The Lost World a "vote for evolution" and that "another major attack on Christianity is about to occur [with the release of JP2:The Movie]". You can read it here. If you're still interested, a very intriguing discussion of the subject is occurring on the message board. (thanks to "Planetme")

Trix and Yoplait Yogurt both are reported to have a "roaring container" contest, as well as a coupon for $1.50 off on a Lost World Koosh-ball. (thanks to Dinoman)

Joe Simmons sends along his interesting Lost World-related story: When vacationing in Kuai, Hawaii in December and January, Joe wanted to rent a Jeep Wrangler from Dollar rent-a-car. However, he was informed that Steven Spielberg had bought them all out (around 20), and were using them on the set on the north side of the island.

Whoops! I forgot to do something with poll file, and as a result, no one was able to vote yesterday. Fortunately, everything is working now, so you can now vote for your favorite character in JP1 here. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Here's some more descriptions of pictures from the JP2 Scrap book, courtesy of Rory. If you have the book and would care to scan in some pics, it would be appreciated:

Interesting JP2 tid-bit: According to a report on America Onlines' Entertainment Channel, Spielberg actually turned-down a 95 million dollar budget for JP2, opting instead for a smaller, 75 million dollar one. And what's more, Mr. Spielberg still managed to bring the whole movie in under that budget. (Thanks to Jpfan1)

Talking about the JP2 Scrap book, you might try checking in the Juvenile non-fiction section of your local Barnes & Noble for it. (thanks to Superguy5)

Here's some toy descriptions from "Killer":

Last Week's Poll Results: Well, last weeks' poll was really a blow-out, which I should have expected. The topic: "What is your favorite book by Michael Crichton?". The result: Jurassic Park, with almost 50% of the vote. The Lost World came in second, garnering a little more than 27%, and Sphere in third, with 14%. The rest of the votes were scattered around. I was a bit disappointed to see that "Airframe" only received 3 votes--and 1 of those was mine! It doesn't look like anyone liked "Terminal Man"--it didn't get any votes.

This week's poll: "Who was your favorite character in Jurassic Park? Due to the massive amount of people who suggested this poll question, I can't single out one of you---but thanks to everyone! Vote here!

Here are some more pictures (along with their captions) from the Lost World Scrapbook, courtesy of Donald's LW Webpage. Enjoy!

"After a long hunt , they finally snag a live one."

"A Triceratops in a cage , awaiting departure" and "Nick with a flashlight"

"The sound of Harding's camera rolling sends a herd of steg's running."

"Nick comes across a baby T-rex with a broken leg . He brings it back to the trailer to help, but soon, mommy is gonna see her baby is missing."

And talking about the Lost World Scrapbook, "Roger" posted some interesting tid-bits from the book on the message board:

Kyong-On Choi wanted to let me know that the release date is not "April 1998" as reported on this page, but actually somewhere during June of this year. Sorry if I upset any Koreans. : )

While I'm on the subject of making release date corrections, let me mention another one: I have listed on the "Release Dates" section that JP2 would be released in the Netherlands on Sept. 25th, and Holland on June 18th. Well, silly me--the two are the same place! (I knew that, really!). Anyway, Maarten Kraaijvanger reports that the actual release date would be September 25th.

Interesting tid-bit: Brian Mayes spotted a JP2 Holland & Holland 600 Nitro Express Double Rifle, used in the movie, being sold in a magazine called "The Gun List" for a measly $80,000.

The Kodak Lost World Fun Saver Cameras have been found on store shelves with the "Find the lost roll contest". (thanks to Angel)

Kyle has opened a new webpage dedicated to the upcoming Cameron flick, Titanic. While it certainly won't do as well as JP2, it does look interesting.

Last chance to vote is today!
